Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to discuss issues related to the development of the agricultural sector and the progress of work in the country’s regions.

The first floor was given to Ahal Velayat Hyakim T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of current seasonal agricultural activities in the region.

As noted, wheat fields are currently being tended, including fertilizing with minerals.

In the framework of the preparation for cotton planting, plowing, land leveling, and the application of mineral fertilizers continue.

To ensure cotton growers have access to high-quality seed, necessary measures are being taken to prepare cotton seeds, as well as repair and properly maintain agricultural machinery and equipment.

The hyakim reported on efforts to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems for social and cultural buildings, electricity, gas, and water supplies for the population, and on the status of construction projects planned for commissioning in the velayat this year.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of conducting seasonal agricultural activities in accordance with agricultural standards and properly preparing for the spring sowing campaign, issuing a number of instructions to the head of the regional administration in this regard.

The head of state also ordered that the high-quality and timely completion of work planned for this year in the velayat be monitored.

Then, the hyakim of Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the state of affairs in the region’s fields.

As noted, wheat care is currently underway, including the application of mineral fertilizers.

Ploughing and leveling are underway in areas designated for cotton sowing, as well as preparation of equipment for the spring season, and cotton growers are being supplied with cotton seeds.

It was reported on measures to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential and public buildings, the uninterrupted supply of electricity, natural gas, and drinking water, and the progress of construction of facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted that strict adherence to agricultural standards is the foundation for sustainable agricultural development, and in this regard, he instructed the hyakim to regularly monitor the proper implementation of agricultural activities in the region.

Furthermore, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to successfully complete the tasks outlined in the country’s socio-economic development programs, issuing corresponding instructions to the head of the regional administration.

Then, Dashoguz Velayat Hyakim D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the velayat.

As noted, in preparation for cotton planting, plowing, leveling, and enriching the soil with mineral fertilizers are currently underway in the fields, as well as preparing equipment and cotton seeds.

Furthermore, it was informed on measures being taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings and social and cultural buildings, the supply of electricity, natural gas, and drinking water to residents, and the progress of construction projects planned for commissioning in the region this year.

After hearing the report, the President noted that a comprehensive approach to all stages of agricultural production is the key to achieving abundant crop yields. He ordered oversight of the high-quality implementation of agricultural measures, as well as the timely completion of construction work at facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then, Lebap Velayat Hyakim D. Genjiev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As noted, guided by the President’s objectives for the consistent development of the agricultural sector and increasing crop yields, seasonal work is underway in the region, including the maintenance of wheat fields in accordance with agricultural requirements.

Plowing, leveling, chilling, leaching, and enriching the soil with mineral fertilizers continue in areas allocated for cotton sowing. At the same time, efforts are being made to prepare agricultural machinery for use in spring sowing and maintenance work.

It was informed on measures being taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, government agencies, and social and cultural facilities during the winter, as well as uninterrupted electricity, gas, and water supplies for the population, as well as the progress of construction work on facilities scheduled for commissioning this year as part of the 2022–2028 Socio-Economic Development Program and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that high-quality agricultural practices not only enable high yields but also the efficient use of land and water resources, and issued corresponding instructions in this regard.

Furthermore, the head of state ordered that work planned under the country’s socio-economic development programs be monitored.

D. Annaberdiev, Governor of the Mary velayat, then reported on the state of affairs in the region’s fields.

As reported, in order to ensure a bountiful wheat harvest, irrigation and mineral fertilizer application are being carried out in accordance with agricultural practices.

Plowing and leveling are underway in areas designated for cotton sowing. Efforts are being made to provide cotton producers with high-quality seeds and to prepare equipment and machinery for use in the spring.

Alongside this, work is underway to harvest and process the sugar beet crop without losses.

The hyakim reported on measures being taken to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in apartment buildings, schools, and kindergartens, as well as electricity, gas, and water supplies for the region’s population, as well as the progress of construction of various facilities as part of the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted the importance of conducting the current responsible agricultural campaign in accordance with agricultural standards, instructing that seasonal agricultural activities be closely monitored.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered the proper implementation of the tasks planned for the current year under the National Rural Program.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country in the year proclaimed “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Steadfast Winged Horses”.

As reported, wheat fields in the regions are currently being maintained in accordance with agricultural standards, including fertilization with minerals, with particular attention paid to the efficient operation of agricultural machinery.

In preparation for cotton sowing, plowing, leveling, and fertilizing the land with minerals continue. Measures are being taken to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds for the sowing season. Efforts are also being made to prepare agricultural machinery for the season and maintain it in proper condition.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the strategic role of the agricultural sector in the national economy, ensuring food abundance for the country, and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to continue working to further develop agriculture in line with the needs of the times.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again emphasized the ongoing seasonal agricultural activities and noted the importance of proper field care in the regions, in particular plowing and leveling areas for cotton in accordance with agricultural standards, providing cotton producers with high-quality seeds, and preparing equipment and machinery for spring sowing.

Furthermore, the head of state ordered strict oversight of payments between cotton and wheat producers and service companies in the regions for the 2024-2025 cotton harvest and the 2025-2026 wheat harvest, the progress of the sugar beet harvest in the Mary velayat within the specified agronomic deadlines, the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens, the provision of electricity, natural gas, and drinking water to the population, and continued monitoring of the construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the regions this year.

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants good health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
