Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Eswatini Prime Minister Russell Dlamini, who arrived in our capital to participate in the International forum dedicated to the international year of peace and trust, International neutrality day, and the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the distinguished guest expressed confidence that the international conference held in our country will provide an effective platform for discussing important contemporary issues and developing solutions. The Prime Minister took the opportunity to convey greetings from King Mswati III of Eswatini to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and congratulations on International neutrality day and the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.

Having conveyed his best wishes to the King of Eswatini, the head of state thanked the guest for accepting the invitation to participate in the International forum, which will be held in the capital, noting the significance of the presence of a high-ranking delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini at this important event.

As noted, the Forum will become an important platform for strengthening peace in the region and globally, developing a culture of trust, and developing solutions to pressing contemporary issues.

During the meeting, it was noted that one of current foreign policy priorities of Turkmenistan is the development of friendly, fraternal relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with countries on the African continent. Among these is the Kingdom of Eswatini. As is well known, diplomatic relations between our countries were established relatively recently. This has created a legal basis for productive and active ties between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Eswatini in various fields.

In this context, the head of state noted that high-level negotiations have recently become regular, emphasising the significance of the first visit of King Mswati III of Eswatini to Turkmenistan to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which was held in the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone.

The President of Turkmenistan also noted that both countries have significant potential for expanding cooperation within reputable international organizations, primarily the UN, reminding that a fruitful meeting with the King of Eswatini took place in New York in September of this year, where promising areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Expressing confidence that the current visit of Prime Minister to Turkmenistan will be an important step in the development of bilateral cooperation, the head of state confirmed readiness of our country to consider specific proposals for the further development of these relations.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini Russell Dlamini expressed mutual confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation and exchanged best wishes.
