On December 1, 2025, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara), Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Adwani.
On behalf of the Head of state, the speaker of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this important post, wishing him success in strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Thanking for the kind words and the hospitality extended to Turkmenistan, the plenipotentiary representative of the friendly country conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty,Hero Arkadag.
During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on the structure of the national parliament and its efforts to modernize our country's legislative framework, as well as on the main directions of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy.
During the exchange of views on prospects for cooperation, a wide range of issues related to Turkmen-Kuwaiti interstate relations were discussed, which are successfully developing both bilaterally and multilaterally, primarily within the UN and other authoritative international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Turkmenistan Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Adwani assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen friendly Turkmen-Kuwaiti relations, developing on the basis of trust and mutual respect.
