Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which a number of issues of state life were considered.
Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on the ongoing activity to further improve the national legislation, was the first to take the floor at the meeting.
As she informed, the work on preparation of drafts of Laws of Turkmenistan «On scientific intellectual property», «On virtual assets» as well as on amendments and additions to legal acts in force is carried out at present.
Besides it, she informed on the meetings held in the Mejlis with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan and delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.
In addition to them, deputies of the Mejlis took part in the conferences organised by Permanent mission of the United Nations in Turkmenistan and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) as well as in the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva (Swiss Confederation) and in the event organised by the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the city of Kishinev, Republic of Moldova, which was held in the course of working business trips.
Summing up the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the importance of continuation of development of the new laws, which meet the requirements of the time, and improvement of the work in the given sphere on a constant basis.
Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Kh.Geldimyradov reported on the course of preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan working group for trade and economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation, which is planned to be held in Ashgabat in November of the current year.
Issues of further expansion of cooperation in trade and economic, oil and gas, power and industrial spheres, transport, communication and information technology, textile industry, agriculture and preservation of the environment, science, education, public health services, pharmaceutical industry, culture, sports and the youth policy are included in the agenda.
In the given context, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet for consideration of the head of the state submitted a draft of the corresponding Resolution.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that Turkmenistan maintains fruitful relations with the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
With a view of further development of established bilateral cooperation, the head of the state signed the corresponding Resolution and gave the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet concrete instructions.
Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Amanov reported on the course of the works carried out by "Türkmengeologiýa" State Corporation to explore oil and natural gas fields.
As he marked, Turkmen geologists undertake corresponding steps to discover underground stocks of natural resources with involvement of powerful technics, seismic equipment and software systems.
In that regard, he informed that thanks to seismic operations in velayats, several structures were discovered.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in the country a fruitful work is carried out to explore and develop oil and gas deposits and instructed "Türkmengeologiýa" State Corporation to continue the work aimed at more effective survey of oil and natural gas fields.
Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet T.Atahallyev reported on the course of seasonal campaigns in the agricultural complex and velayats of the country.
As he informed, top dressing with mineral fertilizers and watering of shoots for obtaining a high yield in the next year are carried out in the wheat fields according to agro-technical standards.
Besides it, due work is carried out to gather the grown cotton harvest to the last box and ensure appropriate storage and processing of raw cotton.
In Lebap velayat, proper measures are taken to gather and store rice and in Mary velayat - sugar beet.
In addition to it, regions of the country carry out top dressing of the cotton fields with mineral fertilizers and their ploughing with effective involvement of agricultural machinery.
In the cattle-breeding economy, corresponding preparation is ensured for nourishing and warm wintering of cattle.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov marked the importance of further complex development of the agricultural branch and perfection of ongoing activities.
Having underlined the necessity of due care of wheat fields according to agro-technical standards, gathering of cotton to the last box, strict control over appropriate storage and processing of the collected crop as well as correct organisation of work on preparation of the fields for the spring sowing, the head of the state gave the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet a number of concrete instructions to that end.
Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Annamammedov reported on the activity carried out in Ashgabat within preparation for the 30th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan.
As he pointed out, at present, repair and accomplishment of social and cultural projects, parks out as well as planting of various kinds of saplings of trees and decorative species in adjoining territories are carried. Besides it, within preparation for the significant date corresponding steps are taken to decorate avenues and streets of the main city of the country.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in our fatherland in the International year of peace and trust solemn events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of our permanent neutrality are widely carried out.
In the given context, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to carry out strict control over appropriate fulfilment of work on accomplishment and decoration of the capital in connection with the significant date marked at the international level.
Further, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet N.Atagulyev reported on preparation for the upcoming meeting of the joint intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatar commission for trade and economic cooperation in Doha (State of Qatar) in November of the current year.
As he informed, at the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission issues of promotion of bilateral partnership in trade and economic, investment, finance-bank spheres, energy, transport and communication, information technology, agriculture and preservation of the environment will be discussed. It is also necessary to consider possibilities of activization of interaction in the cultural-humanitarian sphere, in particular, in education, culture, the youth policy, sports and tourism.
In that connection, for consideration of the head of the state, a corresponding proposal was submitted.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the large-scale work carried out in the country to strengthen mutually beneficial trade and economic relations with the State of Qatar. Having approved the submitted proposal on the composition of the joint intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatar commission for trade and economic cooperation from the Turkmen side, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to take appropriate measures in this area.
Then, Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet B.Seyidova reported on the draft of the Resolution «On announcement of the competition for the award of the President of Turkmenistan «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry».
She informed that within the mentioned competition, which by tradition is held annually, it is planned to declare the television competition among amateur young performers «Ýaňlan, Diýarym!», competition among dutar players and musicians-bagshy «Çalsana, bagşy!» and the competition among gifted children «Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri».
The final round of the competition for the award of the President of Turkmenistan «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» is planned for September 2026, in days of celebration of the 35th anniversary of independence of our country.
In that regard, the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet submitted for consideration of the head of the state, a draft of the corresponding Resolution.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that in our country the great attention is given to development of national culture, study of cultural heritage and discovery of young talents.
Having signed the Resolution «On announcement of the competition for the award of the President of Turkmenistan «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry », the head of the state sent it online to the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet and gave corresponding instructions.
Further, Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet B.Orazdurdyeva reported on the course of preparation for the awarding ceremony of winners of the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan.
As she informed, in the competition held in the International year of peace and trust by ministries, departments, khyakimliks of Ashgabat and Arkadag cities, velayats many young people were nominated for the prize. From among them, a number of participants were recognised worthy for the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan for their successes in science, education, sports, public health services, culture, economy, industry, agriculture, for high creative abilities and activity in popularisation of the internal and foreign policy, as well as large-scale reforms realised under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan.
Organization of the solemn ceremony of announcement and awarding of winners of the Youth Prize is planned for November 16 of the current year in the Centre of Public Organisations of Turkmenistan.
In that connection, the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet submitted for consideration of the head of the state a corresponding proposal.
Summing up the report and emphasizing the effective activity carried out in the country to educate the well-read youth with fundamental scientific knowledge and broad outlook, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to hold the solemn awarding ceremony of winners of the Youth Prize of Turkmenistan at high level.
Then, the floor was given to Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov who reported on the complex work carried out to prepare for participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and to the state visit of the head of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Consecutive development of bilateral and multilateral relations with countries-neighbours of the region acts as one of the priority vectors of the foreign policy of our fatherland. Thus, a special significance is given to promotion of versatile cooperation with states of Central Asia on a long-term basis.
As he marked, the agenda of the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States to be held in Tashkent will capture a wide spectrum of areas of interstate partnership, including the further strengthening of constructive interaction in the region, exchange of opinions on topical regional and international issues.
Besides it, within the Summit a number of concomitant events aimed at activization of regional cooperation will be organised.
As known, diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan were established in February 1993. Developing good-neighbourhood, friendly dialogue, our countries fruitfully co-operate in political-diplomatic, trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The solid contract-legal basis of bilateral partnership was created.
Within the visit schedule, apart from summit talks and other corresponding actions, the opening of new Turkmen-Uzbek frontier shopping centre is planned.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States will play an important role in strengthening multilateral cooperation and further expansion of friendly and brotherly relations.
- The Republic Uzbekistan is also one of our closest neighbours. Cooperation between our countries develops dynamically, - the head of the state said and instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs to prepare well for the Consultative Meeting and forthcoming state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet M.Chakyev reported on the measures adopted to bring the standard-legal basis of the sphere of motor transport in conformity to the requirements of the time.
As he informed, all this will allow improving organisation of work in the motor transportation branch and raise the quality and competitiveness of services rendered to passengers.
In the given context, for consideration of the head of the state, a relevant proposal was submitted.
Summing up the given information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out the effectiveness of adopted measures to modernise the profile sphere. Having approved the submitted proposal to improve the passenger and cargo transportation by motor transport, the head of Turkmenistan instructed to carry out due work to that end.
At the meeting a number of other issues of state life, at which relevant decisions were made, were also considered.
At the end of the online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great successes in their work for prosperity of our sovereign fatherland.
