The President of Turkmenistan participated in the Central Asia - United States Summit

As part of his working visit to the United States, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the Central Asia – United States Summit.

Upon arrival at the White House, the Head of Turkmenistan wrote a commemorative note in the guest book in the Roosevelt Room.

This was followed by a meeting between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and the United States of America.

Warmly welcoming the distinguished guest, US President Donald Trump expressed his gratitude for the invitation to participate in the C5+1 Summit.

Thanking the US leader for the invitation to the high-level meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that this format provides new opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the countries in a wide range of areas. At the same time, confidence was expressed that the Summit would be an important step in the development of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the US.

It was noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial ties with the United States. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that 2025 had been declared the International Year of Peace and Trust by the international community at the initiative of Turkmenistan, which was also supported by the United States.

At the end of the meeting, Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Donald Trump confirmed their readiness to further deepen intergovernmental cooperation in key areas.

The Head of Turkmenistan then took part in the “Central Asia – US” summit.

The high-level meeting, chaired by US President Donald Trump, was also attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

An official photo session was held before the start of the Summit.

After welcoming the participants, President Donald Trump thanked them for visiting the United States of America. At the same time, he expressed confidence that the current Summit would help take cooperation in this format to a new level.

Then the floor was given to the Summit participants.

In his speech, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked President Donald Trump for the invitation to the Summit and noted the positive achievements made since the establishment of this partnership format.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan seeks to develop cooperation in such strategically important areas as security, economy, energy, and environmental protection. Expressing confidence that the results of the summit will contribute to the further expansion of multilateral partnership between Central Asia and the United States of America, the Head of state thanked President Donald Trump for the warm welcome.

The President of Turkmenistan also noted that cooperation within the C5+1 format is aimed to advance sustainable development in the region.

During the Summit, key partnership issues of interest to all sides were discussed and priority areas for joint action in the future were identified.

Within the framework of the Summit, the Declaration of Intent on Economic Cooperation was adopted between the Governments of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the United States of America, as well as the Declaration of Intent on Cultural Heritage between the Governments of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the United States of America.

After completing his working visit to the United States, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov headed to Andrews International Airport in Washington, D.C.

There, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated Aksoltan Atayeva, Hero of Turkmenistan and Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, on her birthday. The Head of state also presented to A.Atayeva a bouquet of flowers and best wishes on behalf of Hero Arkadag.

Hero of Turkmenistan, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN A.Atayeva expressed her sincere gratitude to the Head of state and National Leader of the Turkmen people for the congratulations, wishing him good health, long life, and success in all endeavors of global significance.

Upon his return to the Homeland, the President of Turkmenistan was warmly welcomed by officials.
