On October 7, 2025, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. Gordan Grlić-Radman.

Expressing his gratitude for the time to meet, the guest noted that Croatia highly values friendly relations with Turkmenistan. Taking the opportunity, Mr. Grlić-Radman conveyed warm greetings from of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Warmly welcoming the guest, the Head of state addressed reciprocal greetings and best wishes to the leadership of the friendly country, expressing confidence that the current visit of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia will be a significant step in expanding bilateral dialogue.

It was noted that Turkmenistan maintains peaceful relations with all countries of the world. Particular attention is paid to active cooperation with international organizations, in particular, with the UN and its structural units, as well as to supporting initiatives to promote trust, mutual understanding, and sustainable development among members of the world community.

Political and diplomatic relations between the two countries are actively developing. A vivid example of this is the co-sponsorship of the Republic of Croatia of Turkmenistan’s constructive initiatives promoted at the UN. Turkmenistan in turn, supported Croatia in elections to international organizations.

Emphasizing the constructive nature of cooperation with European countries, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Croatia is based on the principles of friendship, equality, and mutual benefit.

Noting Turkmenistan’s commitment in the consistent development of bilateral partnership in the political, economic, trade, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the President of Turkmenistan confirmed our country’s readiness to consider specific proposals from the Croatian side in these fields.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić-Radman exchanged mutual good wishes, expressing confidence in the further successful continuation of the intergovernmental dialogue.
