On August 5, 2025, within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, during which the current state and prospects for the development of trilateral relations between neighboring states were discussed.

Before the start of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, together with the distinguished guests, took a commemorative photo against the backdrop of the State flags of the countries participating in the International Forum.

At the meeting, organized in the building of the Congress Center, located in a picturesque corner of Avaza, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan thanked the guests for accepting the invitation to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is taking place in Turkmenistan and covers issues of global importance, wishing them further great success in their responsible activities.

As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, the common history and culture serves as a reliable basis for the development of cooperation between fraternal countries in all areas, which has enormous potential for further expansion.

In this regard, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized the priority of cultural and humanitarian relations, emphasizing the importance of their development in the popularization of cultures and traditions, as well as the exchange of experience in this area.

At the same time, it was noted that the fraternal countries have enormous potential for cooperation in the industrial complex. The successful experience of neighboring countries rich in natural resources in the fuel and energy sector was called invaluable. Particular attention was paid to the development of ties in the transport and logistics sector.

In this context, the possibilities of the international transport corridors North-South and East-West, as well as the mutually beneficial use of the potential of the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi were considered.

Having emphasized the meaningfulness of the International Conference on the Caspian coast, the President of Uzbekistan noted that this event is filled with historically significant moments for him, and that the current Forum has opened a broad path for the economic strengthening of the participating countries and the development of relations in new directions.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan conveyed greetings and good wishes from President Ilham Aliyev to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Turkmenistan. The high level of organization of the Forum held on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea was also noted.

Having thanked for the warm words and good wishes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people in turn addressed his best wishes to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

During the meeting, it was noted that relations between the three countries in the cultural, humanitarian, environmental, transport and logistics spheres are developing consistently and productively, and initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan, which are of universal significance, are receiving broad support. At the same time, special attention was paid to the solidarity of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan with Turkmenistan, which has embarked on the path of harmonious development.

In conclusion, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressing gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan for the respect and hospitality shown on Turkmen soil, emphasized that the meeting, organized within the framework of the Forum on the picturesque coast of the Caspian Sea, opened a new page in the history of relations between the three countries.
