On August 5, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
Having expressed gratitude for the warm welcome on Turkmen soil, the distinguished guest noted that the Conference in Avaza serves as an effective platform for discussing key issues and developing solutions that will contribute to positive changes in landlocked countries.
The head of the government of the friendly country conveyed warm words of greetings from President Ilham Aliyev to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as wishes of happiness and prosperity to all the Turkmen people.
Having greeted the guest, the head of state expressed gratitude for his participation in the High-Level Forum held in our country and conveyed his best wishes to the President of Azerbaijan.
During the discussion of issues of multifaceted Turkmen-Azerbaijani cooperation, it was emphasized that both countries are committed to the further dynamic development of interstate dialogue based on centuries-old principles of good neighborliness and mutually beneficial partnership.
As noted, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan are currently actively developing relations not only on a bilateral but also on a multilateral basis, effectively interacting within the framework of major international organizations and regional structures.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov exchanged good wishes, expressing firm confidence in the successful continuation of fruitful cooperation that fully meets the national interests and priorities of the socio-economic development of the two friendly countries.
