Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to review the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and regions of the country.

The first to speak was the head of the Ahal velayat administration T.Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal campaigns in the region.

As reported, plowing and leveling are being carried out in the fields cleared after the harvest. At the same time, measures are being taken to prepare agricultural machinery and units that will be used in the upcoming sowing.

Along with this, care continues in areas with cotton. This work is carried out in full compliance with agricultural technology standards.

The region is also consistently planting vegetables, melons and other crops. 

The hyakim also informed about the progress of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities scheduled for opening this year.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted the importance of proper implementation of agricultural measures on agricultural lands, as well as organized preparation for laying the harvest of agricultural crops for the coming year. In this regard, the head of the regional administration was given specific instructions.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to keep under constant control the quality and timing of construction of buildings scheduled for commissioning this year.

Then, the hyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the dynamics of current agricultural work. 

In particular, it was reported on the measures taken to prepare the fields cleared after wheat and agricultural machinery for the upcoming sowing season.

In addition, it was informed on the ongoing work in the cotton fields – inter-row cultivation, irrigation, fertilizing with minerals and minting.

The head of the regional administration also reported on the measures taken to successfully fulfill the tasks of maintaining food abundance. As noted, in this regard, plots and seed material are being prepared for planting potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops next fall.

At the same time, the hyakim reported on the progress of work on new buildings planned for commissioning this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Summarizing the report, the head of state ordered to ensure strict compliance with the requirements of agricultural science in agricultural production, which is the main factor in obtaining a high-volume and high-quality crop yield.

The head of the regional administration was also instructed to monitor the high-quality completion of the construction of facilities scheduled for opening this year within the established timeframe. 

Then, the hyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D.Babayev made a report on the seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As reported, in light of the upcoming laying of the harvest for next year, the corresponding preparation of the fields freed from wheat, as well as technical arsenal and seed grain is underway.

Inter-row cultivation, fertilization with minerals, watering and minting continue on the land sown with cotton.

At the same time, the harvest of spring potatoes and vegetables and melons is generally carried out in coordination with the sowing of the above crops for the fall of this year.

Agro-technical care of rice crops is also consistently carried out, including fertilization with minerals.

The head of the regional administration also informed about the pace of construction of social and industrial facilities that will be commissioned this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs. 

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of proper care for cotton and proper preparation for the autumn sowing of agricultural crops. In this regard, the hyakim was instructed to keep under constant control the implementation of relevant work in accordance with the requirements.

The head of state also ordered to ensure high quality and timely completion of the construction of various facilities scheduled for opening this year.

Then, the hyakim of the Lebap velayat D. Genjiyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the fields.

In particular, it was reported on the pace of plowing, leveling and fertilizing with minerals the areas vacated after the grain harvesting campaign. These measures are being taken in light of the upcoming laying of the harvest next year. Along with this, the preparation of agricultural machinery, including seeders, which will be brought out to the fields during the sowing season, continues.

At the same time, the situation in the cotton fields was reported, where, in particular, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with minerals, irrigation and minting are carried out.

It was also reported on the progress of plowing and planning of lands allocated for planting potatoes and vegetable and melon crops in the fall, which is aimed at successfully fulfilling the tasks set to supply the population with domestic products in sufficient volume.

In addition, agro-technical care continues in the rice fields.

The head of the regional administration also informed about the pace of construction of facilities. As noted, their commissioning is scheduled for the current year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028, as well as the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028. 

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that proper compliance with standards during the current seasonal campaigns on agricultural lands allows not only to obtain high volumes of harvest, but also to rationalize the use of land and water resources. In this regard, the khyakim was given relevant instructions.

The head of state also ordered to monitor the implementation of quality requirements during the work planned for the region for the current year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then, the khyakim of the Mary velayat D. Annaberdiev reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural activities.

As reported, in order to properly lay the harvest for next year, plowing, leveling, and bringing sowing equipment into proper operating condition are carried out on the areas freed from wheat. In turn, in the cotton fields, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with minerals, watering and minting are carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards.

At the same time, preparation of agricultural lands is underway for the upcoming autumn planting of potatoes, vegetables, melons and other agricultural crops. As reported, these products are sold to consumers on the domestic market at affordable prices.

In addition, the necessary efforts are being made to complete the planting of sugar beets within the established agricultural timeframes. Irrigation is already being carried out on the planted areas, and appropriate care is being provided on the areas with seedlings.

The head of the regional administration also informed about the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities. New buildings are planned to be commissioned this year in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program. 

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that today the main factor in the sustainable development of agriculture is farming, based exclusively on a scientific base. In this context, the hyakim was given specific instructions.

The head of state also ordered to keep under constant control the quality and timing of construction of facilities scheduled for opening this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the pace of seasonal work in the country’s agricultural sector.

In particular, it was reported on the measures taken in light of the upcoming laying of the wheat harvest for next year. As part of this, plowing and leveling are carried out in the fields allocated for sowing, and the preparation of equipment and high-quality seed grain continues.

Along with this, inter-row cultivation, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers, watering and minting are carried out in the areas sown with cotton. At the same time, agro-technical care of rice crops is being carried out in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sugar beet in Mary velayat.

In addition, plowing and planning are being carried out in the fields where potatoes, vegetables, melons and other food crops will be planted. These measures, dictated by the tasks of maintaining food abundance in the country, are designed to ensure the completion of their sowing within agro-technical deadlines.

Summarizing the information presented, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector as a basic industry that ensures food abundance in the domestic market. In this regard, the head of state noted the need for its further development by expanding the scale of innovation and efficient use of resources. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was given relevant instructions.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov again focused on the current seasonal activities in agriculture. The head of state emphasized the need to implement agricultural technology for cotton care in accordance with the norms and timeframes, in particular inter-row cultivation, pinching, fertilizing with minerals, watering and pest control.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure timely settlements between cotton and grain producers and service enterprises and departments. It was also assigned to keep under constant control the plowing and leveling of areas vacated after the harvest, to ensure proper preparation of seeders and other equipment for sowing winter wheat, as well as for planting winter potatoes, vegetables and other crops.

Separate instructions concerned the care of rice crops in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats in accordance with established requirements, control over the planting of sugar beets in the Mary velayat, as well as the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities in the regions scheduled for opening this year. 

Addressing the hyakims of the velayats, the head of state ordered to keep constant attention on compliance with fire safety rules against the background of excessive air heating. In particular, this concerns control over the use of electricity, natural gas and water. 

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great success in their work.
