Today, the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, is widely celebrated in Turkmenistan. The Culture Week, dedicated to this event, concluded with a gala concert of art masters under the arches of the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" in the "Nowruz ýaýlasy" valley of Ak Bugday etrap in Ahal velayat.

It should be noted that the annual large-scale creative forum, held this year under the motto "International Year of Peace and Trust," has become a noble tradition. The entire week was filled with numerous events demonstrating the enormous potential of our people, the improvement of domestic culture, and the professional growth of workers in the relevant field.

Each day of the art celebration was distinguished by spectacular and content-rich programs, showcasing the results of the large-scale work carried out in Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the benefit of the people and for the prosperity of the Motherland.

The cultural event involved well-known performers, popular folk-ethnographic and dance ensembles, as well as musicians, singers, directors, artists, poets, and prose writers just beginning their artistic journey. Experience and skill harmoniously combined with youthful enthusiasm, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of a grand celebration.

During these days, there were exhibitions of fine and decorative-applied arts, museum valuables, and publishing products, performances of opera and theatrical productions and new films. Poetry and folklore lovers attended literary and musical evenings and concerts by cultural and art figures of the country. Creative gifts were prepared by stage masters, family, and children's groups.

Thematic conferences, meetings, educational-methodical and scientific-methodical seminars, and a media forum held in the cultural houses and palaces of the cities of Anev, Baherden, Gokdepe, and Kaka etraps, as well as the villages of Gyami and Yzgant, highlighted issues of preserving, studying, and popularizing the national historical and cultural heritage, developing various art genres, improving the activities of museums and libraries, and using digital technologies for these purposes.

The professional holiday of culture and art workers in our country is united with honoring the outstanding master of the word who sang about timeless universal values and humanistic ideals. The rich literary heritage of Magtymguly, whose poetic lines are as pure as spring water flowing from mountain peaks, has become an example and exemplary school for poets, prose writers, journalists, artists, sculptors, bakhshi musicians, composers, and actors.

Built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and thanks to the efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the monument to the classical poet Magtymguly has become a decoration of the country’s main city. The majestic sculpture of the Eastern thinker, standing 60 meters tall, is installed on a natural elevation. Winged words from the poem of the outstanding humanist and philosopher "The Future of Turkmenistan," as well as lines from the poem of Hero Arkadag "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi," are carved on the pedestal.

The great poet, who dreamed that the Turkmen people would live a peaceful and happy life, left a vast poetic legacy filled with wisdom and the warmest feelings. His remarkably clear and profound judgments about the future in his wonderful poems respond to the spiritual needs not only of the Turkmen people but of all humanity.

It should be noted that the high humanistic ideals celebrated in the works of Magtymguly Fragi hold special importance in educating Turkmen youth. Magtymguly’s works are timeless; they continue to attract interest and gain more admirers far beyond Turkmenistan. The poet and thinker’s poems serve as an inexhaustible source of love for the Motherland, humanism, peace, friendship, mutual trust, and respect among peoples.

…In the morning, deputies of the Mejlis, leaders and representatives of political parties and public associations, media, creative intelligentsia, and student youth gathered at the majestic monument to participate in the solemn event.

Participants of the ceremony laid flowers at the foot of the monument, expressing the people's love, deep respect for the personality and creative heritage of the poet-humanist, and admiration for his talent.

The closing ceremony of Culture Week–2025 took place in the building of "Türkmeniň ak öýi" in the "Nowruz ýaýlasy" valley of Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat, where a concert of art masters was held.

The attendees listened attentively and enthusiastically to the congratulatory address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the people of independent neutral Turkmenistan, culture and art figures.

In the message, the head of state emphasized: "In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, broad opportunities are created in our country to popularize worldwide the great achievements in national culture, art, and literature. Such measures inspire the united cultural workers and encourage them to create new, more perfect works, to work creatively and productively. At the same time, culture and art figures are further inspired by the significant progress and high milestones achieved in all spheres of our country in the International Year of Peace and Trust."

The President’s address also notes that the works of the world-famous outstanding master of artistic word Fragi, imbued with wisdom and insight, are a value beyond time; they are a school calling descendants to love the Motherland, humanism, and unity. The incomparable ideas promoted in the rich content of the poet and thinker’s works now guide the creative figures of our country—workers of culture and art, poets and prose writers, journalists, artists, sculptors, bakhshi musicians, composers, and actors—creating modern and perfect works of which we are very proud.

The festive program opened with the musical composition "Medeniýetiň howandary Arkadag" performed by People's Artists and the united folk-dance ensemble of the country.

People's and Honored Artists of Turkmenistan performed inspired songs on the stage of the magnificent hall praising the independent Motherland and reflecting the depth of the kindest feelings and gratitude of domestic cultural figures to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their policy of peace and friendship, large-scale work promoting the study of the glorious history and culture of the Turkmen people, preserving and popularizing their material and spiritual heritage, and the flourishing of contemporary art.

A highlight of the concert was the beloved song "Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy," with lyrics by Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, performed together with the choir of the special arts school of Ahal velayat.

The audience greeted with warm applause the artists of the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan, who presented the literary-musical composition "Magtymguly Pyragy," central figure of which was the image of the great genius of Turkmen poetry—the singer of the human soul, whose literary heritage is an enduring spiritual and moral legacy for present and future generations. Bright national costumes symbolizing the centuries-old traditions of the people gave the performance a special color.

Performances by recognized and young artists—winners of creative competitions—created a palette of a vividly colorful event where ancient music and songs harmoniously blended with the dynamic pop rhythms of today and classical choreographic productions.

The celebration continued with folk compositions based on Turkmen national destans "Hatyrjem Bolgul" and "Uzuklar." Authentic national traditions were reflected in magnificent numbers, staged as small plays. The performances of dance and folk ensembles "Meňli," "Dehistan," "Margiana," "Aşgabat," as well as united folk groups from Ahal, Dashoguz, and Lebap velayats, left an unforgettable impression.

A creative gift for the significant event was the song "Derde meni," with lyrics by Magtymguly Fragi.

The audience greatly enjoyed the performance of the united folk-dance ensemble of the country, presenting the ancient dance kushtdepdi—a unique symbol of the inseparable connection between times and generations, a national treasure of the Turkmen people, and part of the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Bright additions to the creative performances were thematic video clips reflecting landmark events in the cultural life of the Motherland.

The festive concert concluded with the song "Gülle medeniýetim-sungatym bu gün," which became a solemn ode to the great power of art that unites and inspires the Turkmen people under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov toward new labor victories and creative achievements.

Participants of Culture Week adopted a grateful address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, expressing deep appreciation for his tireless care for the improvement of the cultural sphere, the creation of favorable conditions for creative activity and the development of interstate humanitarian cooperation, and for the opportunity to hold this forum at a high level. They assured the head of state that they would apply all their strength, talent, and inspiration for the further flourishing of national culture for the well-being of the native people and for the glory of the beloved Motherland.
