Today, festive events dedicated to the end of the 2024-2025 academic year were held in Turkmenistan. The «last bell» rang for graduates of all comprehensive secondary schools in the country.

The «Last Bell» ceremony is one of the most joyful and exciting events in the lives of young men and women graduating from high school. The fact that this holiday, which marks the farewell of graduates to school and the beginning of an independent life, coincides with Ashgabat City Day, gives it special solemnity and significance.

As is known, the modernisation of the national education system is defined as one of the priority tasks of the state policy laid down by Hero Arkadag and is now successfully implemented under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan. At the same time, great importance is attached to providing high-quality education to the younger generation, training qualified specialists who will increase the power of our Motherland. In this regard, the Government is taking appropriate measures to bring the education system to the level of world standards. Innovative teaching methods are being actively implemented, curricula are being improved, textbooks and teaching aids are being enriched with content. At the same time, the introduction of innovative digital technologies into the education system continues.

Today's youth is a generation devoted to the independent Motherland and beloved people, will further increase the authority of the country, these are future specialists who will make a worthy contribution to the further development and prosperity of our sovereign state. Therefore, special attention is paid to ensuring that they are comprehensively educated and master innovative technologies. In this regard, our country is consistently strengthening the base of the national education system for training highly qualified personnel, implementing joint projects with the world's leading scientific and educational centers and international organizations. Graduates are provided with ample opportunities to acquire professional knowledge both in higher educational institutions of our country and in foreign ones. All this is the result of the successful implementation of a socially oriented policy in the country, based on the principle «The state is for the people!». As a result, a new generation of young specialists with a broad outlook and modern knowledge is being formed. And an increase in the number of qualified specialists contributes to strengthening the power of the country.. ..According to the established good tradition, in the morning the best school graduates and education workers laid flowers at the Independence Monument - a symbol of the sovereignty of the Motherland, at the monuments to Berdimuhamet Annayev, erected in the Pedagogical Secondary Professional School named after Berdimuhamet Annayev in the city of Arkadag and in the secondary school № 27 named after Berdimuhamet Annayev in the village of Yzgant in the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat. Flower-laying ceremonies were also held at the Main Flag Squares of all velayats.

Then, in all comprehensive schools of the country, solemn events were held on the occasion of the «Last Bell» under the motto «International Year of Peace and Trust».

The performance of the National Anthem at the beginning of the ceremony symbolized the patriotism of young people, their devotion to their people and high morale. Then the congratulatory Address of the President of the country to graduates, teachers of secondary schools and employees of the education sector of Turkmenistan was read. «Both in the past and in the present, science and education are the basic foundation of our achievements, thanks to which we are building the future of our independent Motherland. Therefore, we will continue to make every effort to educate comprehensively educated, broad-minded, capable and goal-oriented generations. In order to improve the level of knowledge of our youth, we will enrich the content of academic subjects in accordance with national experience and the latest achievements in science and education, and develop new textbooks and manuals», –the message of the President of Turkmenistan notes.

As emphasised in the Address, the great future of our Fatherland is in the hands of the young generation, on which great hopes are placed in achieving high goals aimed at the well-being of our people and all of humanity.

Graduates, who decisively and enthusiastically take new steps on their life path, must constantly move forward, study and create for the benefit of their beloved Motherland and people.

Parents of graduates and teachers present at the ceremony expressed their congratulations and best wishes to the young people graduating from high school. The graduates also expressed gratitude to their teachers who taught and raised them.

Students who won various subject and sports Olympiads during their years of study, performed in creative and amateur art competitions, distinguished themselves in their studies, as well as education workers were awarded memorable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag.

The ceremony also included performances by students. During the celebrations, after the last bell, graduates presented a symbol of entry into the world of knowledge to the children preparing to cross the threshold of schools for the first time in the new academic year. The appearance of white doves in the sky - a symbol of peace - increased the joy of this bright holiday.

The participants of the ceremony adopted a thankful Address to the head of state, in which they expressed sincere gratitude for the constant attention to the development of the country's education system, the creation of all conditions for work, study, education of highly educated, erudite, purposeful youth, the realization of their talents and creative potential.

... Also, on the occasion of the «Last Bell» ceremony, trips to the sights, cultural and entertainment centers, museums and parks of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag and velayats were organized for graduates.

In the evening, a festive celebration was held in the song and music centre «Aşgabat». It was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, public organisations, higher education institutions, graduates, and employees of the education system. A concert of artists was also held on the square in front of the State Circus. Songs dedicated to our beautiful capital, Motherland, people and school years were performed, and fiery dances were performed. In honour of school graduates, various cultural events were held in all regions of the country and in the city of Arkadag.
