Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to consider issues related to the country’s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, all necessary organizational measures have been taken to prepare for the grain harvest. At the same time, preparations are underway to collect seed wheat.

Inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out in the cotton fields of the velayat with the effective use of agricultural machinery.

At the same time, the delivery of cocoons obtained during the harvesting season to collection points continues.

In accordance with agro-technical standards, the region is caring for vegetable and melon crops and harvesting ripened crops.

Information was provided on preparations for the ceremonial events on the occasion of the end of the school year and the Last Bell Ceremony on May 25.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to comply with agricultural standards during seasonal agricultural work, the effective use of agricultural machinery, giving the khyakim a number of instructions in this regard.

Then the floor was given to the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H.Ashyrmyradov.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the President of the country and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, for the opportunity to visit the Gulistan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran on a working visit from May 14 to 16, during which issues of strengthening cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Gulistan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Balkan velayat were discussed, the khyakim wished them good health, long life and further success in their noble activities for the benefit of the country and the people. 

Then the head of the regional administration reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural work in the Balkan velayat.

As noted, preparations are currently underway for the harvest and subsequent storage of seed grain in accordance with the requirements.

In the fields sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out. At the same time, agricultural machinery is used at full capacity. 

The region continues to hand over and deliver cocoons obtained during the harvesting season to collection points. 

Guided by the set tasks to increase the volume of production of vegetable and melon crops in the country, care is currently being carried out, as well as harvesting of the grown crop.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the preparations for the Last Bell Ceremony in the region’s comprehensive schools.

Summarizing the report, the President of the country emphasized that strict adherence to agricultural technology standards at all stages of agricultural production is one of the main conditions for obtaining a rich and high-quality harvest, as well as effective farming, giving the khyakim relevant instructions in this regard.

Then, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the dynamics of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As noted, in order to organize the harvesting of grain, preparations are currently underway for receiving points, grain harvesters and other equipment.

Inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning are carried out in the cotton fields of the velayat, while agricultural machinery is effectively used.

Rice planting continues, and the necessary measures are being taken to complete it on time.

At the same time, tenant silk growers in the region are making efforts to properly care for the silkworm.

In accordance with agro-technical standards, spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are being cared for.

It was informed on the preparations in the velayat for the high-level Last Bell Ceremony on May 25.

Having heard the report, the President identified proper care of cotton and thorough preparation for the wheat harvest season among the priority tasks, addressing a number of specific instructions to the khyakim in this regard.

Then, the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the dynamics of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As reported, preparations for the grain harvest are in the final stage.

Agro-technical care is carried out in the fields after sowing cotton, and in areas where seedlings have emerged, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out. At the same time, the appropriate equipment is effectively used at all stages.

At the same time, guided by the tasks set by the head of state to maintain food abundance in the domestic market, proper care of spring potato crops and other vegetable and melon crops continues.

It was also reported on the preparation for the organized holding of the Last Bell Ceremony on the occasion of the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.

Summarizing the information provided and focusing on the importance of the current agricultural campaigns, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to ensure their high-quality completion, in particular, care for cotton, and optimal preparation for the upcoming grain harvesting season.

Further, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the pace of seasonal work in the fields.

It was reported that efforts are being made in the region to organize the upcoming grain harvesting campaign. In this regard, it was reported that grain receiving facilities, in particular elevators, as well as combines, transport and other equipment, are ready for the season. In addition, everything necessary is being done to ensure the full collection and subsequent storage of seed grain in accordance with the requirements.

These days, inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning with the use of appropriate equipment are continuing in the areas sown with cotton.

At the same time, the collection and delivery of prepared silkworm cocoons to the state is in full swing.

Measures are being taken to properly care for spring potato crops, other vegetable and melon crops, and the harvest of ripened crops continues.

In addition, it was informed about the preparatory work for the organized holding of the upcoming Last Bell ceremony on May 25.

After hearing the report, the head of state ordered to qualitatively complete the care of the cotton fields, effectively using the necessary agricultural machinery, and also to ensure an organized start to the grain harvest.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the country’s agricultural sector.

As reported, grain receiving facilities, including elevators, and a fleet of vehicles for transporting crops from the fields have been prepared for the upcoming grain harvesting campaign. Preparations for the collection of seed grain and its subsequent storage in accordance with the established requirements are also ongoing.

At the same time, inter-row cultivation, weeding and fertilizing with minerals are carried out in the areas sown with cotton: the entire process is coordinated and carried out with the effective use of agricultural machinery and units.

Rice planting continues in the Dashoguz velayat. 

Along with this, the regions are systematically collecting the prepared silkworm cocoons and then handing them over to the state.

In addition, in order to obtain a high yield of potatoes, other vegetables and melons, crops are cared for and ripe crops are harvested on agricultural lands.

Summarizing the information presented and emphasizing the importance of the successful implementation of reforms in the agricultural sector, as well as a comprehensive solution to the problems of its development in accordance with the requirements of the time and using innovative solutions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep the quality of current field work under constant control.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state focused on the upcoming grain harvesting campaign. In this regard, the need for comprehensive preparation and its organized implementation was emphasized.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to strictly control the care of cotton – inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding – in compliance with agricultural technology standards, as well as measures to ensure the efficient use of agricultural machinery and units. It was also instructed to optimally prepare for the collection and transportation of seed grain from the fields for subsequent storage.

The head of state also emphasized the need to complete rice planting in the Dashoguz velayat in accordance with the agricultural calendar, as well as to ensure the efficient procurement of silkworm cocoons by region. Along with this, the importance of timely settlements for the work done between cotton and grain producers and service departments and enterprises was emphasized.

Separate instructions concerned control over measures to care for potato crops and other vegetable and melon crops and the harvesting of ripened crops, as well as proper preparation for the organized holding of the Last Bell ceremony in general education institutions on May 25. 

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great success in their work.
