Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to consider the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and regions of the country.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural work.

As reported, in order to obtain a high grain harvest, tenant farmers systematically continue to care for and water the plots sown with wheat.

At the same time, after sowing cotton, charging irrigation is carried out, and in areas where uniform shoots have been obtained, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding using agricultural machinery.

In areas where spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are planted, agro-technical care continues.

In addition, appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the organized completion of the cocoon harvesting season in order to successfully implement the planned activities.

It was also informed on the pace of construction of social and industrial facilities, the opening of which is planned for this year in accordance with the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028” and the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028”.

After hearing the report, the head of state ordered to ensure the high-quality implementation of current agricultural campaigns in accordance with agro-technical requirements.

The head of the regional administration was also instructed to monitor the optimal implementation of the work planned for this year by the country’s socio-economic development programs in accordance with the established schedule.

Then the floor was given to the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H.Ashyrmyradov.

Introducing the report, the khyakim, on behalf of the residents of the western region of the country, expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, for the opening of the Balkanabat International Airport and sincere wishes for good health, success in large-scale activities in the interests of the state and society.

Then the dynamics of agricultural campaigns were reported.

It was reported about the ongoing care and vegetation irrigation of the fields sown with wheat.

Along with this, after sowing cotton, charging irrigation is carried out in the areas, and in the areas where shoots have already been obtained, inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning are carried out. During the work, the appropriate technical arsenal is effectively used.

Seasonal care is carried out on agricultural lands where spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are planted. 

At the same time, silkworm breeders continue to care for silkworm eggs: the efforts being made are intended to facilitate the successful implementation of the established plan for the procurement of cocoons.

The head of the regional administration also reported on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year within the framework of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028.

Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of strict compliance with agro-technical standards as a factor in obtaining high yields of agricultural crops and rationalizing the consumption of land and water resources. In this regard, the khyakim was instructed to monitor the targeted measures being taken.

Separate instructions concerned ensuring proper quality and timely completion of the construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

Further, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the pace of seasonal work in the fields. 

As reported, these days, care and vegetation irrigation continue in the areas sown with wheat. These activities are carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards. 

In addition, cotton sowing is nearing completion. Inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning are carried out in areas where shoots have been obtained. Agricultural machinery is effectively used to optimize work processes.

In the areas where spring potatoes, other vegetables and melons ripen, care and watering are carried out.

The region has also started sowing rice: everything necessary is being done to ensure an organized completion of the campaign.

As part of the cocoon harvesting season, silkworm breeders continue to care for silkworm eggs.

The head of the regional administration also informed about the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities scheduled for opening this year in accordance with the Program for the Socioeconomic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report and emphasizing the importance of optimally completing the cotton sowing season on time and observing agricultural technology standards when caring for wheat crops, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed specific instructions to the khyakim.

Separate instructions concerned control over compliance with quality requirements and deadlines for the construction of social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the country's socio-economic development programs.

Then, the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the progress of seasonal field work.

As reported, guided by the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan on the production of high yields of agricultural crops in the country, comprehensive measures are being carried out in areas sown with wheat, in particular, vegetation irrigation. All work is carried out taking into account the requirements of agricultural technology.

In addition, cotton growers continue to charge irrigation of fields after sowing cotton, and in areas where uniform shoots have been obtained, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding.

Care is also carried out in fields planted with spring potatoes and onions. 

At the same time, the region has begun collecting silkworm cocoons and their subsequent delivery to the state.

It was also reported on the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the information provided, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered that agricultural work in the fields be completed at the proper level, effectively using the appropriate technical arsenal.

Speaking about the need to successfully solve the problems envisaged by the programs for the socio-economic development of the country, the head of state instructed to keep the targeted measures under control.

Then, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of work in the agricultural sector.

It was reported that a number of activities are being carried out as part of seasonal field campaigns, in particular, vegetation irrigation of wheat areas. In light of the upcoming grain harvest, everything necessary is being done to properly prepare grain reception points, combines and other equipment. The steps being taken will allow for an organized start to the mowing.

Along with this, in areas where cotton seedlings have emerged evenly, inter-row cultivation, weeding and thinning are carried out using agricultural machinery.

Appropriate care is also being carried out on agricultural lands where spring potatoes, onions and other vegetable and melon crops ripen.

Silkworm breeders are taking appropriate steps to successfully fulfill the established plan for the procurement of silkworm cocoons.

It was also informed on the dynamics of the construction of social and industrial facilities in the region. Their opening is planned for this year within the framework of the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028” and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, the head of state ordered to ensure that current field work is carried out in accordance with agricultural technology requirements, which is the main factor in obtaining rich harvests of agricultural crops.

The head of the regional administration was also instructed to monitor the high-quality and timely completion of construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the programs of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

As reported, at present, fields sown with wheat are being cared for in accordance with agricultural technology standards. As part of the preparation for the upcoming grain harvest, grain receiving points, in particular elevators, as well as combines and other necessary equipment, are being brought into proper operational condition.

After sowing cotton, charging irrigation is carried out on agricultural lands, and inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out on areas with seedlings.

In order to successfully fulfill the tasks of maintaining food abundance in the Fatherland, the fields where spring potatoes, vegetables, melons and other agricultural crops are grown are properly cared for. Rice sowing continues in Dashoguz velayat.

In addition, as part of the cocoon harvesting season, the regions are caring for the grains and collecting mature silkworm cocoons.

To prevent fires in forest areas, pastures and lands, measures are being taken to create firebreaks, cleanliness is maintained and plowing is carried out.

Summarizing the information provided, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of successfully solving the planned tasks for a consistent increase in the volume of agricultural products produced, as well as for the comprehensive development of the specialized sphere. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was given relevant instructions.

Further addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of current seasonal work in the agricultural sector. In this regard, it was instructed to keep under constant control the care of cotton, in particular, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding in areas with seedlings, effectively using agricultural machinery and units. Separate instructions concerned the cultivation of wheat in accordance with agro-technical standards, including the implementation of appropriate work to prevent grain pests in the allocated areas.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need for proper cultivation of planted spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops, completion of rice sowing in Dashoguz velayat according to the established schedule, as well as care for silkworm eggs and effective harvesting of cocoons. 

In addition, the head of state ordered to ensure timely settlements between cotton and grain producers with service departments and enterprises, to monitor the activities carried out to prevent fires in forest areas, pastures and lands. A number of instructions concerned the quality and timing of work on site, planned for the current year within the framework of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program. 

Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great success in their work.
