The city of Arkadag, founded on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has become the centre for holding international conferences, forums, festivals and exhibitions of great importance for the country. The large-scale events that took place here on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse reflected the happy life of our people in the current era. During the gratitude conference «Arkadag şäheri - ahalteke atlarynyň mekany», organised in the new city, the importance of the past festive events in honour of the Turkmen horse was emphasised. 

The conference was preceded by an exhibition presenting the achievements of our country in the field of equestrian sports in recent years, the history and awards of the National Equestrian Games Group «Galkynyş», created on the initiative of the Hero Arkadag, and other exhibits. 

It should be noted that an important place here is occupied by a stand with books dedicated to «heavenly» horses by the scientist Arkadag, who especially revered Ahal-Teke horses. All this is a clear evidence of a comprehensive approach to organising historically significant events for our Fatherland.

The gratitude conference, which was attended by the leaders of the city of Arkadag, public organisations, famous horse breeders, scientists and educators, honourary elders and gray-haired mothers, as well as numerous university students, became a clear demonstration of the high veneration of Ahal-Teke horses - the national pride of the Turkmen people. 

As noted, the sacred land, located in the picturesque foothills of Kopetdag, is considered the original homeland of the «heavenly» horses. Throughout history, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our wise ancestors, horses were bred here that became famous throughout the world and were recognised as «winged». Grand celebrations organised on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, in which the President of the country took part, became a vivid symbol of the people's love for the amazing creations of nature and human genius.

Horse trainers, jockeys and horse owners, who worthily continue the national horse breeding traditions of our wise ancestors, became winners of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest, horse marathons and festive races and were awarded valuable awards on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

During the gratitude conference, it was emphasised that as a result of the successful implementation of the great undertakings of the Hero Arkadag under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the world fame of the legendary «paradise» horses has increased. The winners of the competitions and races organized on the occasion of the holiday were solemnly presented with valuable gifts, cash prizes, keys to cars and new residential buildings. 

The conference participants noted that the location of the «Akhan» and «Taýçanak» monuments in the city of Arkadag increased the pride of our people.

As was emphasised, the uniqueness of the architectural solution of the «Taýçanak» monument symbolises the love and special place of «heavenly» horses in the hearts of our people, multiplying the national values created by their ancestors. The speakers proudly noted that a new generation of horse breeders is being formed in the country, developing and continuing the national traditions of horse breeding at a modern level. 

Bright touches to the festive atmosphere reigning here were brought by the song and music performances of cultural and art figures, which became a kind of ode to the great undertakings and noble principles of the Hero Arkadag successfully implemented under the wise leadership of the head of state, the happy life of the people and the prosperity of the Fatherland. 

This is further evidence of how every day of our country, confidently moving towards the heights of progress, is filled with joyful moments and historical events.
