Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to review the ongoing work in agriculture and the regions of the country.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal field campaigns.

As reported, care and watering continue in the areas sown with wheat.

Everything necessary is being done to prepare for the harvest season, in particular, grain receiving enterprises, including elevators, as well as combines and other equipment.

As for the cotton sowing, after it, according to agro-technical standards, watering is carried out in the fields, and in areas where shoots have already emerged, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out.

At the same time, seasonal care continues in the fields where spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are planted.

As part of the cocoon harvesting, silkworm grains are cared for.

The head of the regional administration also informed about the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Summarizing the report and noting the importance of caring for cotton in accordance with agro-technical standards and proper preparation for the grain harvesting campaign, the head of state gave the khyakim relevant instructions.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to keep under control the high-quality and timely construction of new buildings scheduled for opening this year. Next, the khyakim of the Balkan velayat, H.Ashyrmyradov, reported on the pace of current agricultural work.

It was reported that these days, the areas sown with wheat are being tended and watered. Appropriate measures are being taken to bring combines, vehicles and grain collection points into full readiness in order to begin the harvesting campaign in an organized manner.

In addition, after sowing cotton, watering is carried out, and in areas where shoots have already been obtained, inter-row cultivation is carried out.

Seasonal care is also being carried out in areas with planted spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops.

The silkworm cocoon production season is also continuing: tenants are currently taking measures to care for the grains.

The head of the regional administration also reported on the progress of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities, the opening of which is scheduled for this year in accordance with the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028”.

Summarizing the information presented, the head of state emphasized that strict compliance with agricultural technology standards during seasonal field work is one of the main factors for obtaining a good harvest of agricultural crops. In this regard, the khyakim was given relevant instructions.

The head of the regional administration was also instructed to monitor compliance with the quality and timing of construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

Then, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the dynamics of seasonal work in the agricultural sector.

As reported, in order to obtain a high grain harvest this year, proper agro-technical care of crops is being carried out. At the same time, grain receiving facilities, in particular elevators, as well as combines and all necessary equipment are being prepared in light of the upcoming campaign.

In addition, cotton sowing continues. Inter-row cultivation is being carried out in areas with seedlings, using agricultural machinery at full capacity.

Appropriate care is being provided in the fields where spring potatoes, other vegetable and melon crops are ripening.

Tenants also take care of silkworm grains.

The region has begun planting rice in an organized manner: plowing, leveling and watering of the allocated areas are currently underway.

It was reported that tenant farmers are irrigating areas sown with wheat. In preparation for the harvest, grain receiving facilities, elevators and the necessary equipment are being brought into proper operational condition.

It was informed about the completion of cotton sowing in the region: the fields are being irrigated, and in areas where shoots have appeared, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are being carried out.

At the same time, care is being carried out on agricultural lands planted with spring potatoes and onions.

Silkworm nurseries are also being cared for: specialized points are preparing to receive cocoons.

The head of the regional administration informed about the pace of construction of various facilities in accordance with the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028” and the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year.

After hearing the report, the head of state identified the optimal completion of agricultural activities in the fields and proper preparation for the grain harvesting campaign as priority tasks. In this regard, the khyakim was given relevant instructions.

Then, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As reported, currently, watering is being carried out in the fields sown with wheat, grain receiving enterprises, elevators, combines and other equipment are preparing for the grain harvesting campaign.

At the same time, it was reported on the measures taken to care for the areas where cotton seedlings have been obtained: inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are carried out using appropriate agricultural equipment. Similar work continues in areas where spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are planted.

Silkworm breeders are also engaged in the care of the grapes, and they are provided with the necessary support in this matter.

In addition, information was provided on the progress of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities, the opening of which is scheduled for this year in accordance with the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028” and the National Rural Program.

In addition, silkworm eggs are being tended in the regions during the cocoon production season. The Deputy Prime Minister also informed about the measures taken to prevent fires in forest areas, pastures and agricultural lands against the backdrop of warming air.

After hearing the report and emphasizing the key role of agriculture in the structure of the national economy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the need to successfully solve the tasks set before the industry to further maintain domestic food security and supply raw materials to textile industry enterprises. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to monitor the measures taken in this area.

Further addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state noted the importance of optimally performing current seasonal work in the fields, in particular, caring for wheat and spring crops, preparing for the grain harvesting campaign. Relevant instructions were given in this regard.
