Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the agenda of which included a number of issues of state life.

The first floor was given to Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on the work carried out to bring the legislative basis of the country in conformity with the standard standards of international law, in particular, on preparation of new bills, amendments, and additions to operating legal acts.

In this connection, she informed on the agenda of the next meeting of the Mejlis planned for April 12 of the current year. Deputies will discuss drafts of the new revised version of the Law of Turkmenistan «On court», Laws of Turkmenistan «On joining the Protocol of 1988 to the International Convention on Load Lines of 1966»,«On making addition to the Law of Turkmenistan «On establishment of the anniversary medal of Turkmenistan «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna»,«On making amendments and additions to some legal acts of Turkmenistan», «On amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan «On administrative procedures», «On amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan «On motor transport», «On making additions and amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan «On  migration». During the session, the authorized representative for human rights in Turkmenistan will also deliver a report.

At the same time, she informed on the work conducted within the strengthening of cooperation with states of the world and international organisations. As she informed, deputies of the national parliament took part in the seminars organised by the UN Development Program, OSCE Centre in Ashgabat together with corresponding state structures of our country. Along with it, a representative of the Mejlis was sent on a business trip to the city of Geneva for participation in the Regional forum of the European Economic Commission of the United Nations for sustainable development.

Besides it, elected representative of the people actively participate in educational actions on the political significance of the state policy realised by the head of Turkmenistan, the International year of peace and trust, transformations that are carried out in the country as well as goals of adopted laws.

Then, the head of the national parliament informed on results of the business trip of the delegation of the Mejlis to the city of Tashkent for participation in the 50th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which took place on April 5-7 of the current year.

On the sidelines of the visit, meetings with heads of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, parliaments of Byelorussia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, in which importance of strengthening of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations and exchange of experience in the legislative activity was marked, were held.

As she informed, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan spoke at the above-stated forum, the theme of which was «Parliamentary movement for social progress and justice» and underlined significance of international initiatives put forward by the President of Turkmenistan and a key role of cooperation with states of the world for joint achievement of goals of sustainable development.

Besides it, on the margins of the anniversary Assembly, members of the Turkmen delegation spoke at various actions.

The head of the Mejlis expressed her warm gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for comprehensive support to render in organisation of the business trip.

Summing up the information, head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined importance of continuation of work to strengthen the legislative framework of the country, making relevant amendments and additions to legal acts.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Amanov reported on preparation for the international visiting forum on attraction of foreign investments into the economy of Turkmenistan.

As he reported, the given action is expected to be held on April 23-24 of this year in the city of Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia. For participation in the international forum about 300 delegates from 30 states were registered and at present, due work is carried out in this respect. Meetings of members of the Turkmen delegation with representatives of foreign companies interested in adjustment of cooperation are also planned.

In this connection, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet submitted a relevant proposal for consideration of the President of Turkmenistan.

Having heard the report, the head of the state pointed out that one of the important goals of the present day is a harmonious and effective development of all branches. In the given context, he instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to provide a high level of the organisation of the international visiting forum on attraction of foreign investments into the economy of Turkmenistan to be held in Malaysia.

Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet T.Atahallyev reported on the course of work in the agricultural complex and seasonal campaigns in velayats.

As he informed, nowadays the fields sown with wheat are applied with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation according to agro-technical standards. Along with it, preparation of reception points for grain, elevators and combine harvesters for the forthcoming grain harvest goes on.

Besides it, necessary measures are taken for effective involvement of agricultural machinery and equipment in the sowing cotton campaign, irrigation and primary after sowing cultivation of fields, in particular, inter-row cultivation.

With a view of increase in indicators of potato and vegetables and gourds grown in the country, supply of the population in sufficient volume with given kinds of food production, care of crops and season on manufacture of cocoons of silkworm proceed.

At the same time, preparation for organization of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse at high level goes on.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that seasonal agricultural activities in velayats of the country should be completed within target dates. In this connection, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to continue care of wheat fields according to agro-technical standards, to prepare properly for the grain-harvesting season, and complete in due time cotton sowing. Along with it, he was instructed to provide a high level of organisation of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Annamammedov reported on the activity of the subordinate sector, in particular, the industrial branch.

As he informed, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production conducts necessary work for further development of national industry, supply of building sites with demanded building materials, increases in outputs, modernisation of operating enterprises and their functioning at full designed capacity. It is called to promote supply of the home market with high-quality building materials and increase of the export potential of the branch.

In this connection, for consideration of the head of the state a relevant proposal was submitted.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov marked that purposeful measures are taken in the country for organisation of activity of the national industrial sector, adjustment of work of new manufactures in compliance with modern requirements. It is necessary to hold the issues, concerning maintenance of building sites with building materials, further increase in outputs and functioning of operating factories at their  full designed capacity, conduction of planned repair at enterprises under a strict control, the head of the state underlined, having given the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet a number of concrete instructions.

Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet N.Atagulyev reported on preparation for organisation of the exhibition of the goods made in our country in the city of Gorgan of the Islamic Republic of Iran in May of the current year.

As he reported, in this action, goals of which act expansion of goods turnover between two friendly states and proper familiarization of businesspersons and consumers of the neighbouring country with the export potential of Turkmenistan, export-focused goods of branches of national economy and production, which is produced by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will be shown.

In this connection, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet submitted for consideration of the head of the state a relevant proposal.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that our country consistently develops trade and economic relations with neighbouring states. As he pointed out, the Islamic Republic Iran acts as close partners of Turkmenistan. Having approved the proposal to organize the exhibition of the goods made in our country in the city of Gorgan of IRI, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to carry out necessary work to that end. 

Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet B.Seyidova reported on establishment of the Organizing committee to hold festive events and actions in honour of the 34th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

As she informed, our sovereign, permanently neutral fatherland has become today one of the politically stable, economically powerful states, which maintains peace and successfully follow national principles of development. Along with promotion of potential of branches of economy, a purposeful work is carried out to further improve the sphere of national culture, including mass media, wide popularisation of the cultural heritage of Turkmen people, integration of mass media into the international media space.

Having reported that in the International year of peace and trust all-round preparation goes on to mark the 34th anniversary of sacred independence of Turkmenistan with great labour achievements, the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet submitted for consideration of the head of the state the draft of the relevant document.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with a view of appropriate preparation and organization of the festive events and action in honour of the holiday of our sovereign fatherland at state level, signed the Resolution «On establishment of the organizing committee to hold festive events and actions on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan», having given the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet corresponding instructions.

Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet B.Orazdurdyeva reported on the course of preparation for international competitions in national wrestling and belt wrestling «Alysh» which will be held on April 22-25 of the current year in the Olympic village of Ashgabat.

She reported that a working group, which included representatives of profile ministries and sectoral departments, was created at the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports and at present organizing work is carried out according to the plan of actions.

In the forthcoming international tournament, which is called to become an important event symbolising advancement of idea of peace through achievements in sport, participation of numerous sports delegations is expected.

In this connection, the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet submitted for consideration of the head of the state a corresponding proposal.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that an efficient work is carried out in the country to develop Turkmen sports at world level and further increase the international sports authority of Turkmenistan. Along with it, international level sports competitions are regularly held, the head of the state said and instructed the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet to prepare properly for the international competitions in the national wrestling and belt wrestling «Alysh», which will be held in the Sports complex of martial arts of the Olympic village in Ashgabat and to provide a high level of their organization.

Further, the floor was given to Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov who reported on preparation for the forthcoming working visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan.

As he marked, one of the priority areas of the foreign policy of our fatherland is development of mutually beneficial cooperation with states of the Asian-Pacific region, including with Japan, with which diplomatic relations were established on April 22, 1992. Regular inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental relations were also established.

Constructive interaction is carried out in the format of international organisations. It was in this connection noted that the friendly state consistently supports initiatives of our country on the margins of the United Nations and other authoritative structures.

Large joint projects realised for last 15 years testify to a productive character of bilateral economic partnership. Among key areas of strategic partnership – gas chemistry, electric power industry, transport, water management. Interaction of our country with leading Japanese companies dynamically develops.

With a view of coordination of interstate relations on a systematic basis Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen committees on economic cooperation actively operate.

A great significance is also given to interaction in the scientific-education area. Here the basic partner of Turkmenistan is the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). At present, young Turkmen nationals study Japanese language at comprehensive secondary schools and higher educational institutions of our country.

During the ongoing preparation for the forthcoming working visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan appropriate measures are taken to ensure its high organizational level. In the given context, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, submitted for consideration of the head of the state a relevant program.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that relations between Turkmenistan and Japan are regularly developed. Having stated presence of all conditions for expansion of a spectrum of interstate cooperation in political-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the head of the state instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, Minister of Foreign Affairs to prepare properly for the forthcoming working visit to the friendly country and to provide its high organizational level.

Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers M.Chakyev reported on the work carried out together with international organisations to train highly skilled personnel for the civil aircraft.

As he informed, «Türkmenhowaýollary» agency takes necessary measures within the special program of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aimed at improvement of quality and efficiency of training of employees of aviation all over the world, and development of cooperation and exchange of experience between education centres. It will promote preparation of experts for the air transport of our country and expansion of international interaction in the given sphere.

In this connection, for consideration of the head of the state a relevant proposal was submitted.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised importance of the further strengthening of the relations established with specialised authoritative organisations for training of international class specialists for the civil aircraft of the country.

Having approved the proposal to further improve the activity of the school of training of employees of air transport of «Türkmenhowaýollary» agency, the head of the state instructed the head of the Agency to carry out necessary work.

At the meeting a number of other issues of state life, on which relevant decisions were made, were also considered.

Concluding the regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great successes in their work for prosperity of our sovereign fatherland.
