The final round of the “Woman of the Year” competition, organized by the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan on the eve of International Women’s Day, was held in the capital’s Center of Public Organizations.
In the final stage, the participants who won the qualifying rounds, which took place in the velayats, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, competed in 8 nominations.
The main goal of the competition is to reveal the abilities and talents of women, preserve the sanctity of the family, which is the foundation of Turkmen society, protect motherhood and childhood, enhance love for national spiritual values in the younger generation, develop a sense of patriotism in them, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
According to the results of the competition, the jury announced the winners in the corresponding nominations.
Thus, in the nomination “For high organizational skills demonstrated in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state”, the best was the director of school No. 27 named after Berdimuhamet Annaev of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat, Ogulshat Durdyeva.
In the nomination “For the preservation and development of the art of national artistic handicrafts in a powerful state,” the winner was a resident of the Garagum etrap of the Mary velayat, Mengli Dolieva.
The best in the nomination “For the dissemination of spiritual values and national cultural heritage in the world” was the artist of the "Gurjak" folk theater of the Department of Culture of the Magtymguly etrap of the Balkan velayat Merjen Seyidova.
In the nomination “For achievements in raising children”, the the best was the primary school teacher of the specialized secondary school No. 3 with in-depth study of the English language in the city of Arkadag, Mahri Shyhyeva.
In the nomination “For work on strengthening the country’s defense and the rule of law in society,” the best was psychologist of military unit No. 20020 in Ashgabat, Aygozel Annamyradova.
In the nomination “For contribution to the development of the village”, the winner was the head of the dayhan farm “Daýhan zenan yhlasy” of the Sakarchage etrap of the Mary velayat, Hurmagozel Malikova.
The best in the nomination “For contribution to the development of the market economy and entrepreneurship of the country” was entrepreneur, resident of the city of Dashoguz of the Dashoguz velayat, Bagtygul Meretgylyjova.
In the nomination “For services in continuing the tradition of mentoring,” the victory was won by the teacher of the children’s art school of the Danev etrap of the Lebap velayat, Mahriban Ergeshova.
The winners were awarded certificates of honor and memorable gifts.
