Housing for people with disabilities and people in need of social protection to be constructed in all welayats and the capital

The President of Turkmenistan has signed a decree on the construction of housing for people with disabilities and people in need of social protection. According to the document, multifamily residential buildings will be erected in Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary welayats and the city of Ashgabat. Hakimliks of the welayats and the capital will conclude appropriate contracts with local construction companies. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the apartments for people with disabilities and people in need of social support will be free of charge. Designed project of large four-storey houses, provides the necessary conditions for decent living of people with disabilities, including construction of new buildings near places of their employment. Housing construction will start in January 2017. Completion of the project is scheduled in December this year.
