Today, the Mukam Palace of the State Culture Centre of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn conference «Arkadagly Serdaryň dünýä uzan ak ýoly - Halkara parahatçylyk we ynanyşmak ýyly» on the occasion of announcement of the motto of 2025 - «The International Year of Peace and Trust».

Members of the Government, representatives of the Mejlis, Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, ministries and sectoral departments, public organisations as well as science, creative intelligence, higher educational institutions and mass media took part in it.

In the foyer of the Palace the exhibition of works of decorative and applied art devoted to independence and neutrality of the country, the present glorious epoch, peaceful life of the Turkmen state and history of our people was organized. The displayed works evoked a great interest in participants of the festive event.

The song based on the poem of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov «Turkmenistan - the land of peace and trust» was performed before the start of the conference. In this remarkable work by Hero-Arkadag in the poetic form, principles of peace, neutrality and brotherhood of our independent fatherland and the initiatives realised in interests of general well-being are highlighted.

As participants of the conference marked in their speeches, at the proposal of Turkmenistan the General Assembly of the United Nations unanimously adopted the Resolution on announcement of 2025 «The International Year of Peace and Trust» with co-authorship of 86 countries. It has become a bright expression of recognition of activity of Turkmenistan aimed at maintenance of global peace and sustainable development.

As known, on December 27, 2024, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council 2025 was announced as the International Year of Peace and Trust.

This decision was adopted according to the proposals, which arrived from representatives of the Khalk Maslakhaty, large public organisations, labour collectives and citizens of the country, according to the remarkable poem «Turkmenistan - the land of peace and trust», created by the brilliant talent and wisdom of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, following valuable recommendations of Hero-Arkadag and on the occasion of adoption of the Resolution «2025 - The International Year of Peace and Trust» at the initiative of Turkmenistan by the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Placement of a growing green poplar with strong roots and branches directed upwards, symbolising development of our permanent neutral fatherland and the image of the flags personifying independence and neutrality, a flying white Turkmen falcon, as well as olive branches symbolising neutrality of our peaceful country, twice recognised by the United Nations on the emblem of 2025, attaches a deep sense to it. Here one should note that, being guided by admonishments of Hero-Arkadag, the green colour as a symbol of our sacred independence and dark blue colour as an embodiment of permanent neutrality, one wing of the Turkmen falcon was pained with green colour, and second – with dark blue.

Independent neutral Turkmenistan successfully realises its peaceful foreign policy and advances important initiatives and proposals for humanity within international organisations.

In this regard, it was pointed out that the state foreign policy started by Hero-Arkadag and successfully carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan is based on principles of equality, mutual understanding, good neighbourhood and positive neutrality. The international initiatives of our country on maintenance of global peace and sustainable development are consistently realised.

Participants of the conference drew attention to the celebrations planned on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of permanent neutrality of our fatherland, which falls on the International Year of Peace and Trust. All it will increase importance of 2025 and enter with gold letters in the annals of our glorious history.

As a result of initiatives of Hero-Arkadag and the state policy our country under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan takes an active part in efforts of the United Nations Organization to strengthen global peace and security and develop effective cooperation in political-diplomatic, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Our neutral fatherland, which displays unswerving devotion to its international obligations, in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state has been recognised as peace-making centre of the region, and world as a whole. A number of the resolutions adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations at the initiative of Turkmenistan testifies to it and those resolutions include announcement of December 12 as «The International Year of Neutrality», « The Role and Importance of а Policy of Neutrality in Maintaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development », «The role of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia», «2023 - International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace», «2025 - the International year of the world and trust», «Zone of Peace, Trust and Cooperation in Central Asia» and «Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia».

It speaks clearly of appreciation of the contribution of Turkmenistan in the solution of important issues of today as responsible strategic partner of the United Nations, as well as the foreign policy realised by our state with a view of maintenance of global peace and well-being.

As known, each event held in the country, is accompanied with performances of actors, music and folklore groups, which are devoted to significant events in the life of Turkmenistan. Today workers of art and culture also performed their best programs during the solemn conference and added joy to the festive atmosphere.

New poems were also recited and the songs devoted to the motto of 2025 were performed. They glorified the large-scale activity of President Arkadagly Hero Serdar who duly follows noble undertakings of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag to enhance peace, friendship and brotherhood all over the world.

the literary-music composition «Türkmeniň agzybirlik ýoly baky dowamdyr!» performed by actors of the Main Academic Drama Theatre named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi the Great highlighted the peace-making foreign policy realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and great achievements made for sustainable development and well-being in the region and world.

Inspiring speeches embodied with pride of our independent, permanent neutral country made pleasant impression upon spectators. The motto of 2025 “The International Year of Peace and Trust encouraged the gathered into new labour victories.

Spectators with special delight welcomed the song «Arkadagyň parasady paýhasy - parahatlyk, ynanyşmak binýady», glorifying great initiatives of Hero-Arkadag.

The patriotic song «Uzak ýaşaň, Arkadagly Serdarymyz became the finale of the concert!».

Participants of the festive event adopted the Message to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed their gratitude for successful large-scale activity carried out for prosperity of the country, augmentation of its international authority and confidence that the International Year of Peace and Trust will be marked by new achievements and great fulfilments.
