Today, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, a sadaqah was held at the Gokdepe Mosque in honor of Haji Arkadag's pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba. This event became a vivid expression of the continuity of centuries-old traditions and family values of the Turkmen people, now evolving in the spirit of modernity.
The sadaqah was attended by leaders of the Mejlis, members of the Government, khyakims of velayats, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and sectoral departments, members of the Halk Maslahaty, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of Turkmenistan's diplomatic missions abroad, embassies and international organizations accredited in our country, media leaders, imams, honorary elders and venerable mothers from velayats and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
The vehicle carrying Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar arrived at the square in front of the Gokdepe Mosque.
Here, participants warmly greeted Haji Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
After offering a prayer for the acceptance of the current sadaqah by the Almighty, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Arkadagly Haji Serdar proceeded to the mosque.
At this point, the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited ayats from the Holy Quran, offering prayers for the acceptance by the Almighty of Haji Arkadag's pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba and for the souls of the deceased to rest in paradise.
Then Hero Haji Arkadag and the head of Turkmenistan moved to the mosque building to conduct sadaqah.
Addressing those gathered, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Haji Arkadag noted that since the beginning of this year, "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" has accomplished significant work in our independent neutral Motherland, achieving successes in domestic and foreign policy. It was emphasized that thanks to initiatives for comprehensive development by Arkadagly Hero Serdar, Turkmenistan has made great progress.
A recent working visit took place to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the One Water Summit held as part of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP-16). It is customary for our people to begin good deeds by observing established traditions and customs. Based on this, the stay in a brotherly country began with a trip to Mecca for pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba, continued Haji Arkadag.
At the sacred site for all Muslims, a two-rak'ah prayer was performed, and prayers were offered for our people to be granted a happy, prosperous, and peaceful life, for new achievements, and for the further prosperity of the country. The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed hope that the coming year would be blessed for the Motherland.
Today, as noted, following the ancient national tradition and customs, sadaqah is given together with everyone. The Turkmen people live with faith in the Almighty, Haji Arkadag notes, emphasizing that Islamic values are closely intertwined with our traditions. Hero Arkadag says that the contributions of our ancestors to the spread of Islam are recognized in the brotherly country, and there is great respect for our people. The well-being and peace of our Motherland are the foundations of Turkmenistan's dynamic development, the National Leader of the Turkmen people declares, offering prayers for the continued constructive course of our country based on principles of friendship and brotherhood.
Then, the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited the "tebärek" prayer, offering prayers for Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar to be granted strong health, longevity and success in all endeavors aimed at ensuring the country's well-being and a happy life for the Turkmen people.
Following this, participants of the sadaqah were served dishes of national cuisine according to tradition.
After the meal, the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited "aýat-töwir," which included wishes for further prosperity of our sovereign Motherland, confidently moving to new heights of progress like a swift steed, and ensuring a happy life for its people. Prayers were also offered wishing Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar health, longevity and success in state affairs for the well-being of Turkmens and a bright future for the country.
Then, addressing those gathered, including foreign guests, the National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed gratitude for participating in this sadaqah and said: "May today's 'aýat-töwir' prayers for a happy life for our people be accepted by the Almighty! May the souls of our deceased ancestors reside in paradise! May our country prosper under Arkadagly Serdar's leadership!"
"May this sadaqah be accepted!" wished Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar.
Warmly bidding farewell to everyone, Haji Arkadag and Arkadagly Haji Serdar departed from the event.
