Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Hungary, is participating at the invitation of the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organisation of Turkic States Binali Yildirim in the 16th meeting of the Council of the UTC as a member of the Council of Elders, as well as an honourary guest.

...Hero-Arkadag proceeded to the venue of the 16th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organisation of Turkic States - the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

Let us remind that the previous 15th meeting of this structure was held in our country in March of this year in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As is known, the Council of Elders is an advisory body of the Organisation of Turkic States, which includes elders of the member countries of the UTC, appointed from among prominent public figures. The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has been a member of this Council since April 2022.

The agenda of the current meeting included current issues related to the activities of the Council of Elders and the UTC. The subject of discussion was also the prospects for further joint work of the member countries of the Organisation, as well as the progress in implementing the recommendations adopted at the 15th meeting held in Ashgabat.
