By the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva received the credentials of Ambasador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Kim Hyun Jung. On behalf of the Head of the State , the leader of national parliament congratulated Mr Kim Hyun Jung with the beginning of his diplomatic mission in our country and wished great successes in consolidation of friendship and understanding between two states and their people. On behalf of the leaders of his country, Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPRK conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and to Turkmen people. During the meeting, the diplomat was familiarized with key vectors of socially oriented internal and peace-loving foreign policies of neutral Turkmenistan, which are aimed at equal, mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries of the world on bilateral basis and under international and regional organizations. Special attention was paid to the activity of Turkmen parliament for improvement of legislation system. The willingness for activation of the cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were confirmed. Mr Kim Hyun Jung declared on the intent to make contribution to expansion of the relations between Turkmenistan and the DPRK taking to account existing potential and priority objectives of social and economic development of the states. At the same day, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan where share of the visions on different directions of bilateral cooperation took place.
