President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a working meeting in the International Airport in the city of Turkmenbashi, with participation of Vice Premier in charge of transport and communications, industry, oil and gas and governor of Balkan welayat. The state of affairs on the biggest construction sites in Balkan welayat, direction of economic development of the region, plans to raise social standards have been reviewed. Discussion of issues of industrialization of the economy, measures to increase the efficiency and export potential of the industry, development of gas chemistry and chemical industry as well as of transport sector have taken place. Turkmen President stressed the need for greater use of local raw materials for the development of chemical industry. Noting the importance of combining production with the process of training and improvement of professional skills of employees, President of Turkmenistan said that it is a direct way to implement best practices and innovative methods in practice. The President noted the special status of an ambitious project of building a new International sea port in Turkmenbashy as an important site of international transit and transport corridors. Integrated development of the welayat needs to consist of an effective combination of industry specialization with all the systems of the national economy and social infrastructure, which is the only way to achieve growth of efficiency of industrial production and improve the living conditions of the people, said the Head of state formulating a number of matters in this area.
