On September 1, the first bell rang in all educational institutions of the country, marking the beginning of the new 2024-2025 academic year.

According to a good tradition, on this day, the festive celebrations began with the laying of flowers at the Monument of Independence, the monuments to Berdimuhamed Annayev, erected in the Pedagogical Secondary Vocational School named after Berdimuhamed Annayev in Arkadag city and Secondary School #27 in Yzgant village, Geoktepe etrap, Ahal velayat.

On the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, ceremonial assemblies were held in all secondary and higher educational institutions, at which a congratulatory Address by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read. The head of state wished success to the younger generation on the path of knowledge and great discoveries.

The first lesson of the new school year was held on the topic of “The Fount of the Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi”, and was also dedicated to the upcoming celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the sacred independence of Turkmenistan.

At the beginning of the new school year, according to tradition, opening ceremonies of a number of new educational institutions were held in the Homeland. They were attended by deputies of the Mejlis, members of the Halk Maslakhaty, representatives of local executive authorities and public organizations, respected elders, numerous residents of cities and villages.

Thus, on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, a secondary school for 1,200 pupils and a dormitory for 120 pupils were put into operation in the village of Bokurdak, Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat.

The modern school has all the conditions for teaching students, there are specially equipped classes for various subjects, including for labor education.

Today is a particularly joyful day for the residents of Hojambaz city, Hojambaz etrap, Lebap velayat, where a school for 960 pupils has opened its doors. In addition, a school for 400 pupils has been commissioned in Alpan village, Merye gengeshlik, Sayat etrap.

The construction of these facilities is evidence of the large-scale work successfully carried out under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to further improve the domestic education sector and systematically strengthen its material and technical base.

Among the festive architectural premieres of the Homeland is the commissioning of a new secondary school and kindergarten in Mary velayat. A kindergarten for 160 pupils was ceremoniously opened in Saryyazy village, Tahtabazar etrap, and a comprehensive school for 500 pupils was opened in the city of Mary. The festive events held in the country on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year clearly demonstrate the state’s concern for the education and comprehensive harmonious development of young Turkmen citizens.

In the built comprehensive schools, teachers and children have spacious classrooms equipped with comfortable furniture and modern teaching aids and accessories. Multimedia and interactive equipment installed in the classrooms facilitates a more in-depth study of biology, physics, chemistry, geography and other subjects.

The new buildings of preschool institutions provide all the conditions for harmonious education, comprehensive intellectual development and comfortable rest of children. These are playrooms and bedrooms with comfortable and beautiful furniture for different age groups, language laboratories and computer rooms. Participants of the celebrations expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for caring for the younger generation and wishes for good health, new successes in multifaceted activities for the benefit of the happy life of the people, the prosperity of the Homeland.

Also on September 1, a robotics training center was opened in the Specialized Educational and Training Complex # 1 in Arkadag city. Created with the assistance of the UN Children’s Fund Representative Office in Turkmenistan, it became a wonderful gift on the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, widely celebrated in our country.

The creation of this center is further evidence of the successful implementation of measures aimed at deep mastering of modern technologies by young people, providing various sectors of the national economy with qualified specialists.
