In the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, negotiations began between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Tehran, and the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

During the meeting in a narrow format and in an expanded delegation format, the parties will discuss priority issues of developing bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and also exchange views on a number of topical issues of international and regional agenda of mutual interest.

Following the results of the Turkmen-Iranian high-level talks, it is planned to sign bilateral documents aimed at expanding cooperation between Ashgabat and Tehran in various fields.
