The past week was full of bright, memorable events, which have once again displayed the fact that goals of complex development of regions, diversifications and expansion of export possibilities of economy, introduction of high technologies in all spheres, increase in volumes of output of various industrial and agricultural production are successfully fulfilled under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the year «The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi». The most favourable conditions for life and work of people, realisation of their civil rights and freedom, creative and constructive potential of people and all round development of the growing generation are provided in our prospering fatherland.

The working meeting, which the head of the state held online on May 27, discussed the course of seasonal work in the agricultural field carried out in regions of the country.

The President of Turkmenistan focused attention on necessities to keep a control over preparation for the beginning of the harvesting season, issues of observance of agro-technical standards to provide care of cotton and other crops as well to continue work on prevention of emergence of agricultural pests in fields of the country.

Besides it, the instructions, concerning qualities of construction of different projects implemented within the programs of social and economic development of the country, planned to be opened this year, were given.

On May 31, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which considered topical issues of life of the country.

Its agenda included further modernisation of legislative system, in particular, development of the bills connected with perfection of civil-law relations, preparation of drafts of the state budget and investment program for 2025.

The work carried out to increase volumes of extraction of natural gas with a view of reliable supply of "blue fuel» to local and foreign consumers, to strengthen the material and technical basis of electric energy branch, to render information services by the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, adopted measures for uninterrupted functioning of transport facilities during the summer period and rates of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country was also informed.

The information on the basic events, which will be held in Arkadag city on the margins of the Week of culture timed to Day of workers of culture and art as well as poetry of Magtymguly Fragi also sounded.

In June, it is also planned to hold the scientific-practical conference «Turkmenistan - native land of ecological well-being» on the occasion of World Environment Day.

In addition to it, awarding of winners of competition of scientific works among the youth of Turkmenistan will take place. 1670 young people took part in the traditional intellectual competition, projects of 107 of them were recognised the best ones.

Results of the working visit of delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic Kazakhstan, made on May 26-27 on the instructions of the head of the state were one of themes of the meeting of the Government.

In its frameworks the meeting of delegation of Turkmenistan with the President of Republic Kazakhstan, in which it was noted that our countries have a high potential for further development of effective cooperation in trade and economic, energy and transport sectors, was held. Wide prospects are also available to strengthen and intensify productive relations in the area of private sector. The humanitarian area acts as an important area of mutual relations.

During the meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a number of topical issues of the regional and international agenda were also discussed.

Besides it, Astana hosted political consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of which constructive exchange of opinions on the state and prospects of interstate cooperation, in particular, consideration of issues of preparation for the next consultative meeting of heads of the states of Central Asia, took place.

In discussion of steps of interaction within the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea the Turkmen party put forward a number of specific proposals aimed at further perfection of work of IFAS. The Caspian topic also became a subject of interested exchange of opinions.

During the meeting in the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan issues of cooperation in digitalization were considered.

Following the results of the meetings and negotiations, which took place in Astana agreements on further strengthening and expansion of multiplane Turkmen-Kazakhstan partnership were reached.

The results of the working visit to the Italian Republic, made on May 28-30 on the instructions of the head of the state were also informed. Participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in «Central Asia-Italy» format became the purpose of the visit.

Initiatives and proposals of our country aimed at intensification of constructive interstate and multilateral partnership in given areas were sounded. So, for effective joint activity in «Central Asia-Italy» format, the Turkmen party proposed to appoint responsible representatives in foreign policy departments of countries-participants and to make the intermediate term plan including concrete measures on realisation of reached agreements.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, having pointed out to necessity of further development of mutually beneficial partnership with friendly countries in bilateral and multilateral formats, instructed relevant officials to continue work on promotion of interstate cooperation and optimum realisation of available potential.

At the meeting, the head of the state signed the Resolution «On development of the state budget of Turkmenistan for 2025».

The President of Turkmenistan gave his blessing to start of the grain-harvesting season in Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats on June 7, in Balkan and Dashoguz velayats - on June 14of this year. The past week was also marked with the signing of the Resolution on maintenance of production of a high yield of rice in corresponding etraps of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats and increase of state procurement price for this agricultural crop from the crop of 2024.

According to the Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, 289 pilgrims will go to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for fulfilment of the hajj from June 10 to July 9, 2024. In this connection, the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers will organise a special flight there and back at the expense of "Türkmenhowaýollary" Agency.

Turning to other events of the past week, we should mark that on May 30, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Honourable elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Arkadag city where he familiarised with designs of different projects planned to be built during the second stage of construction of the new city as well as samples of decorative finishing of buildings.

Along with it, Hero-Arkadag held a working meeting in the head office of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Having noted that health of the younger generation and its harmonious development are in the centre of attention of the state, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the issues connected with further effective work of the Charitable Foundation, based on noble traditions of Turkmen people, intensification of international cooperation, increase of professionalism of doctors and qualities of services at the international level.

The agenda of the meeting of the Council of Elders under the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which took place on June 1 included results of activity of the Charitable Foundation for the past period of the year «The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi» as well as the Council of Elders under the Charitable Foundation.

Ashgabat hoisted the meeting of Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas affairs with the head of the branch of the world-renowned Chinese company CNPC in our country. Aspects of bilateral cooperation in the gas sphere, in particular, issues of realisation of the second turn of development of the gas deposit «Galkynyş» were discussed.

In the turn of events of this week - active preparation for elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to be held on July 7 at election districts № 1 «Garaşsyzlyk», № 2 «Bitaraplyk» and № 6 «Köpetdag» of Ashgabat city instead of those who left early.

Within the given political action meetings on promotion of representatives from the Democratic Party, Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Agrarian Party and groups of citizens in which course the most worthy representatives of people are delegated to the country’s legislative body, are held.

76 national observers appointed by political parties, public organisations and groups of citizens were registered and received certificates. In territories of three districts, 60 polling stations were established. All of them are equipped by corresponding office equipment, information materials.

On June 1, by the developed noble tradition in all regions of the country as well as in Ashgabat and Arkadag cities festive actions devoted to International Day of Protection of Children were organised.

The celebrations became another evidence of all-round care of the state of the growing generation, maintenance of favourable conditions for high-grade physical and spiritual development, rights of young Turkmen nationals for education, health protection and many other things. The new modern children's centre of recreation «Arkadagly nesiller», put into operation on the eve of the holiday in Magtymguly etrap of Balkan velayat became a fine gift to young citizens of the country.

The recreation centre intended for family leisure, was constructed and equipped at the expense of monetary award in the amount of 1 million US dollars, which the etrap received as winner in the traditional competition on achievement of the highest social, economic and cultural indicators.

In honour of the significant date, the Tennis complex of the capital Olympic village hosted the opening of children's tennis festival and awarding the Certificate of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) on announcement of the Tennis complex of the Olympic village of Ashgabat « Education and Training Centre of the Asian Region».

The festival’s purpose - attraction of children and teenagers to regular practice of physical training and sports, including tennis, development and strengthening of international sports relations and also adjustment of effective interaction in the sphere of children's and youth sports.

Before spectators demonstration performances of young sportsmen and master classes in tennis were developed. We should note that the past year Turkmen tennis players properly represented the country in international competitions, having won record quantity of medals - 39 (12 gold, 10 silver and 17 bronze).

The vocal-choreographic composition with participation of creative groups added much joy and inspiration to elements of acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics performed by sportsmen.

And already next day health resorts located in high-mountainous gorge of Gökdere Avaza national tourist zone on the clean coast of the Caspian Sea as well as in all regions of the country welcomed first young holidaymakers.

Thus, events of the past week have stated that issues of political, economic, social development of our fatherland are solved on the basis of the complex and all-round approach. It is another vivid example of success of the state strategy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov aimed at augmentation of economic potential of the country, national cultural wealth, growth of well-being of people, strengthening of the international authority of Turkmenistan heading towards new heights of progress.
