Today, on the eve of the widely celebrated National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, the XIV meeting of the International Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Association was held in the city of Arkadag, which was held in a hybrid format.

It is symbolic that this year’s meeting of the Association is hosted by the new «smart» city of Arkadag, built in one of the most beautiful places in the Turkmen land – the homeland of the world-famous «paradise» horses. The International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev is located here, which became the venue for the forum.

An exhibition was dedicated to the XIV meeting of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding, where works of fine, decorative, applied, carpet and jewellery art, photographs dedicated to «winged» horses were demonstrated.

As you know, in December 2023, the art of Akhal-Teke horse breeding and the traditions of horse decoration were included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.  This became the recognition of the «winged» horses as a true living masterpiece, created through the efforts of many generations of Turkmen horse breeders.

When summing up the meeting, it was noted that today topical issues of the development of Ahal-Teke horse breeding were discussed, the interest of domestic and foreign horse breeders, scientists and other relevant specialists in continuing effective cooperation and expanding the range of its areas was confirmed.  This will serve as a deeper study of the Ahal-Teke phenomenon, their historical role in the world horse breeding, further exchange of experience in the field of breeding, rearing, education and training of «winged» horses, and will also give impetus to educational activities that will contribute to the growth of the number of lovers and connoisseurs of «heavenly» horses.
