In his Keynote Statement, the candidate for the post of the President of Turkmenistan Bekmyrat Sahetmyradovich Atalyev noted that the forthcoming elections of the President of Turkmenistan are one of the important factors related to the future of our state. In case of electing for the position of the President of Turkmenistan, the candidate set a goal to implement the following fundamental reforms aimed at ensuring peace in the country and prosperous life of its citizens. Diversification of the country’s economy and support of private businesses is one of the priority directions of my program. Rendering support in funding the soft loans, creating conditions for introduction of the world’s advanced technologies and equipment during construction of new social and industrial facilities, reduction of taxes, improvement of the credit and debit operations make new conditions for the development of private sector. The unified budget-financing, fiscal-monetary policy is pursued in the country. A member of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Union of Turkmenistan, “Rysgal” Joint-Stock Commercial Bank will systematically encourage the successful implementation of these processes. Turkmen entrepreneurs will make considerable contribution to transforming and changing the appearance of the cities and rural settlements; they will introduce into production the ecologically-friendly modern technologies; businessmen will manufacture the furniture, carpets, construction materials, household and industrial goods, provide quality-of-life improvements to the population. High-quality competitive goods produced by our entrepreneurs would be sold in the local markets and abroad, promoting the growth of demand for Turkmenistan-produced goods. Due to the efforts of domestic entrepreneurs hundreds of small enterprises will be establish, which will create new jobs for the youth; in the future, the number of businessmen and private enterprises will grow. To put the political conception of neutrality into life, our country, in the years ahead, will keep supporting the fruitful cooperation with the competent international organizations and foreign states. In the future, implementing the new stability-promoting programs, Turkmenistan will even more extend its global name recognition as an independent peace-making state. Our country will support the bilateral and multilateral relations with the countries of the world in the political-diplomatic, economic, international-legal, cultural-humanitarian spheres. In the long run, we will continue the works on realizing such grandiose projects (one such is TAPI) of regional importance in the economic, transport and communications, social and humanitarian spheres. Fundamental measures for introducing of innovations and modern technologies to the production-economic system of the country will be implemented. We will put into life the comprehensive measures aimed at implementing the projects which will have a positive impact on the social-economic advancement of Turkmenistan; we’ll also undertake the measures on promoting the efficient use of the regions ‘production potential, given their geographic location, diversification of industrial branches, and creation of new jobs. Grandiose transformations ongoing in the country bring Turkmenistan to new heights of progress, thus promoting the formation of new production and social relations. Especially for this reason, the present time requires the formation of a new generation of specialists, who are capable to work, create and manage in a new way. Large creative selfless work of each of us is necessary for Turkmenistan, which is going through a new historical period, for the prosperity of the country and people, political, economic and cultural progress of our Motherland, for the happy life of every citizen. Happy and prosperous life of every citizen is our main objective. Along with the development of the cities, special attention is paid to the development of the regions in our scientifically developed state programs. Intensification of the velayats’ industrial development, improvement of social and living conditions of the population is the task of top priority. We will accelerate realization of grandiose projects on turning Turkmenistan into the prosperous state. Owing to that, our villages, settlements and centers will acquire a beautiful appearance; new etraps will appear; new modern enterprises, large factories will be built. Social and living conditions of the citizens will be improved, and the employment issue will be solved. Recognition of Turkmenistan as one of the strongest states in the world will be the result of the within-said transformations. I assure the electorate that in the future, resting upon the fundamentals of our national democracy, solidarity of the society, cultural and spiritual values, I will do my utmost for providing quality-of- life improvements to the people, for advancing the national economy based on the market relations, strengthening of food security, consolidation of the unity and cohesion of the legal state and solidarity of the people. I will work shoulder to shoulder with the people for successful implementation of the fundamental transformations, which guarantee the prosperity of our Motherland, expand its global name recognition and turn the Turkmen land into the prosperous land.
