Chemical industry is one of the most rapidly developing sectors of the national economy of Turkmenistan. In January-November 2016, the production volumes of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern increased by 15 percent and marketed commodities 17.5 percent more as compared to the same period of 2015. The development of domestic substitutes production decreases the volumes of imported products in our country. In particular, according to the State Committee for Statistics, this year, the volume of imported detergents decreased by 11.2 percent. At the same time, the level of consumption of such products in the country is constantly growing. Private enterprises significantly contribute to providing the growing market in our country with these products.
