In the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, the issues of preserving and popularizing the material and spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people in the world are identified by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov as among the current areas of state policy. A huge role in carrying out this important work belongs to the archives of Turkmenistan, where valuable documentary sources of NAFT are concentrated, being a part of the unique historical and cultural heritage of the nation.
In this regard, domestic archives are entrusted with ensuring the safety of documents that have historical, scientific, social, economic, political, and cultural significance. The successful implementation of this task requires the correct organization of the activities of the clerical services of both government agencies and private sector institutions.
This topic is devoted to materials on the methodology for compiling historical references, prepared on the basis of the experience of the State Archive of Lebap velayat, as well as on the importance of archival sources in writing scientific works about the history of the Homeland, prepared on the example of the Central State Archive of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
