Today I landed at the International Airport of the Turkmen capital new passenger airliner Boeing 777-300 ER. This is the first of two modern aircraft of this modification, the purchase of which was a contract was signed with the world-famous American aircraft manufacturer by Boeing in accordance with the relevant Presidential Decree Turkmenistan.

These aircraft are characterized by high efficiency, comfortable and capable of carrying 368 passengers. Range non-stop flights of these airliners reach 11 thousand 390 kilometers, and their cruising speed is 905 kilometers per hour. In navigation and electronic equipment of airliners are used advanced technologies and developments.

It should be noted that the new aircraft is equipped with special places for the mother and a cradle for the newborn baby. For their convenience there are the necessary care products, baby supplies, etc. The technical characteristics of the new airliners provide the ability to carry out non-stop flights from Turkmenistan to almost anywhere in Asia and Europe.

...A festive atmosphere reigns at the venue of the event. Before the audience demonstrates their dance and musical skills folklore group “Laçyn” of the agency “Türkmenhowaýollary”.

The speeches of the ceremony participants emphasized that Turkmenistan, located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road, along its historical development achieves great success in trade, culture, science, etc. This is evidenced by the activities implemented today in transport diplomacy large-scale projects.

As you know, on May 16 this year at the 70th plenary meeting of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly on the initiative Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the Member States of the Community Nations adopted a Resolution declaring November 26 as World Day sustainable transport. It was on this day in 2016 in Ashgabat the first UN Global Conference on Sustainable Transport took place.

At the proposal of Turkmenistan by the UN General Assembly in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2021, the relevant Resolutions were unanimously adopted, which gave cooperation in the transport sector a qualitatively new impetus.

All activities in this area are carried out in accordance with generally accepted standards and norms of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) - a specialized agency of the United Nations.

Considering the convenient geographical location of the country and the available potential in the transport system, development of multimodal transport infrastructure that meets international standards is one of the policy priorities of Turkmenistan, the speakers emphasized.

According to national tradition, representatives of the older generation performed a blessing ceremony at the Ashgabat International Airport occasion of the arrival of a passenger airliner and offered prayers for prosperity of the Turkmen state under the leadership of the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.
