The livestock farms, subordinated to the Ministry of agriculture and water economy of Turkmenistan and the State Association of food industry, fulfilled the annual plan on fodder stocking. Totally, 171.618 thousand tonnes of fodder had been stored up in Turkmenistan. The country has already taken measures on creating relevant conditions for livestock breeders and shepherds. With the purpose of further improvement of fodder-stocking, the fodder crop sowing had completed as well. As of 1 December 2016, the total number of livestock in Turkmenistan has exceeded 2.3 million heads.
