Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, took part in joint military exercises of the Armed Forces and other troops of Turkmenistan.

In the modern epoch, valiant defenders of the Fatherland, in accordance with the key aspects of the Military Doctrine, which is exclusively defensive in nature and based on the neutral legal status of the Fatherland, ensure peace and tranquility in the country and the prosperous life of the people of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the main vectors of the ongoing fundamental reforms in this area, special importance is attached to strengthening the country’s defense capability and the power of the Armed Forces, and modernizing the material and technical base of the national army. Along with this, in order to increase the efficiency of military and law enforcement agencies and resolve social issues, modern complexes are being built for law enforcement agencies, comfortable residential buildings for employees of these structures, and the necessary conditions are being created for the proper performance of military duty by officers and soldiers and their leisure time, practicing various sports.

Comprehensive measures are being taken to improve the professional training of defenders of the Fatherland, including skills in handling weapons and military equipment, and clear interaction within units.
