The working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to China to participate in the III High-Level Forum «One Belt, One Road» has begun.

Having flown from Ashgabat, the airliner landed at Capital Airport in Beijing, where Hero-Arkadag was met by officials of the People's Republic of China and Turkmenistan.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will take part in the III High-Level Forum «One Belt, One Road» and hold negotiations with the President of the PRC Xi Jinping.

Turkmen-Chinese interaction is long-term in nature and is built in full accordance with the Joint Declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership signed by the two countries. Following the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to China and his negotiations with the Chairman of PRC Xi Jinping in January of this year, it was announced that the level of relations between the two countries would be upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

«One Belt, One Road» is an international initiative of China to improve existing and create new trade and transport corridors connecting more than 60 countries of Central Asia, Europe and Africa, which is designed to promote the development of trade relations between them and China.
