Today, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sadaqah was given on the occasion of the start of construction in accordance with the Resolution of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of the second stage of the city of Arkadag, commemoration of the victims of the Ashgabat earthquake of 1948, heroes who died on the battlefields of all wars, and also died during the recent natural disaster in Afghanistan.

In the morning, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived at the «Märkaw» hotel.

Having greeted those gathered, the National Leader of the Turkmen people went to the place reserved for him in the hall for holding national events.

Addressing the participants of the ritual meal - sadaqah, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that every day of our sovereign Motherland, confidently pursuing the great goals of the Fatherland, is marked by grandiose events, large-scale government activities for the benefit of the people and the country. As noted, in the summer of this year, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the second stage of development of the city of Arkadag took place.

From time immemorial, Turkmens have considered the construction of buildings, roads, and bridges to be a noble cause, and now these ancient traditions find a worthy continuation, said the National Leader of the Turkmen people. In this context, it was reported that with the signing of the historical Resolution, the President of Turkmenistan identified the contractors who will build the second stage of the city.

Thanks to the state’s enormous trust in domestic entrepreneurs, today they have extensive experience in the construction of large facilities and take an active part in the implementation of large-scale projects, Hero-Arkadag proudly noted. The implementation of the second stage of development of the city of Arkadag is also entrusted to members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. New buildings, which will be built with high quality, will serve the bright future of our people.

«Today we will bless the start of construction of facilities in accordance with the Resolution of the Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov», -said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

As was emphasized, in our sovereign Fatherland, ancient national traditions are worthily continued, one of which is commemorating the deceased before beginning good deeds, giving sadaqah in memory of them. In this regard, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cited the Turkmen proverb «Toý bilen ýas bile geler» as an example, emphasizing the fact that Remembrance Day was recently celebrated in our country.

On this day, Turkmen people honored the memory of the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake, as well as the heroes who died on the battlefields of all wars. Today we will also remember them and read the tovirs and verses. May all our deceased rest in peace, said Hero-Arkadag.

The Turkmen people, despite difficult trials in the past, managed to overcome all difficulties thanks to their great love for the Motherland, unshakable unity and faith.

Continuing, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that folk wisdom says: «Boljak işe çäre ýok». In this context, it was noted that last Sunday an earthquake occurred in the neighboring brotherly country of Afghanistan, which, unfortunately, led to numerous casualties and destruction.

«On behalf of the entire people, we express our deepest condolences at this difficult moment to the families and friends of the victims. May the souls of the departed rest in heaven! «We pray for the speedy recovery of the victims», -said Hero-Arkadag.

Most of the victims are children, continued the National Leader of the Turkmen people, citing as an example the saying «Kyýamat güni goňşudan», which means that in a difficult moment, a neighbor is the first to help. We also extended a helping hand to the brotherly Afghan people by sending humanitarian supplies, including warm clothes for children, blankets, food products, as well as medicines and medical supplies.

Following the age-old national tradition of good neighborliness and fraternal relations, we remember the victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan and read verses and tovirs for the repose of their souls. As our ancestors said: «Söýenişen ýykylmaz». Providing support to each other is an ancient noble custom and it is our duty to follow it for the sake of a bright future, prosperity and a happy life. And in the future, our youth will continue these ancient traditions, Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence.

In conclusion, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed good wishes: «May the Almighty accept this sadaqah! Kabul bolsun! (Let Allah receive!) May peace and prosperity reign everywhere»!

Then the Mufti of Turkmenistan read the prayer «tabarak».

In accordance with traditions, the participants were served various dishes of national cuisine.

At the end of the meal, the words of the prayer «ayat-tovir» and wishes were offered that the Almighty would accept the given sadaqah and the prayers read. Kabul bolsun! Wishes were voiced for the prosperity of the sovereign Fatherland, the unity of the people, longevity, as well as success in government affairs aimed at the benefit and bright future of the country to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Then Haji Arkadag, having wished good health to all participants in the sadaqah, left the scene of the event.

The current event was a clear reflection of the fact that the primordial national traditions, carefully preserved, were passed on throughout history by our wise ancestors to their descendants, and today continue with dignity in accordance with the spirit of the times.

At the end of the sadaqah, its participants headed to the Gokdepe mosque.

Before the prayer began, those gathered bowed before the sacred relics displayed in this spiritual temple.

Then «Juma prayers» were performed in the mosque built on this holy land, which became a clear confirmation of the commitment of the Turkmen people to national traditions and the pillars of Islam. At the same time, joint prayer is considered a special blessing and a sign of spiritual unity.
