In the afternoon, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is in Berlin on a working visit, took part in a meeting of the heads of delegations of Central Asian states with the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz.

The event, held in the format of a business lunch, was also attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The parties discussed the implementation of promising joint projects that would become the locomotive of economic interaction and help strengthen fruitful cooperation in the «Central Asia + Germany» format.

Also during the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of expanding partnerships in the trade sphere, the transport and transit sector, in the field of optimizing and expanding energy supplies and laying new communications.
