The President of Turkmenistan left for the United States on a working visit

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for New York on a working visit to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

The visit of the head of Turkmenistan to the United States will last until the 20th of September. As part of the visit, the President of Turkmenistan is scheduled to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, as well as in the first meeting in the format of multilateral cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and the United States of America «C5+1». Along with this, the head of state will hold a number of bilateral meetings, including with the UN General Secretary.

Multi-vector cooperation with the UN is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness and constructive international partnership.

As you know, on 5th of September this year, the 78th session of the UN General Assembly opened in New York. From 19th to 26th of September, it will include high-level events.
