President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Ashgabat to attend a trilateral meeting of the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. At the International Airport of the Turkmen capital, decorated with the State flags of the countries participating in the trilateral summit meeting, the distinguished guest was met by officials.

On both sides of the carpet path leading from the plane's ladder, the guard of honour was lined up.

According to the established good tradition, a boy and a girl in national costumes presented the Tajik leader with bread and salt and flowers.

At the trilateral summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, it is planned to discuss topical issues of developing regional cooperation.
