A telephone conversation has been held today between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Greeting the head of Uzbekistan, the Hero-Arkadag warmly congratulated him on the successful holding of presidential elections in the country and the convincing victory won in them. It was noted that this was an eloquent confirmation of the nationwide support for the political course of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the transformations and socio-economic reforms carried out under his leadership. 

Thanking cordially for the congratulations and good wishes, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that Uzbekistan sincerely values the ties of friendship and good-neighborliness with Turkmenistan. It was noted that bilateral cooperation is currently being enriched with new content as a result of purposeful joint efforts.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the traditional relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue to progressively develop and deepen, and addressed their wishes of well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of both countries.
