Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for the Islamic Republic of Iran on a working visit.

Having made a flight to Tehran, the Hero-Arkadag airliner landed at the International Airport of the Iranian capital, decorated with the State flags of the two countries.

In the air harbour, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was met by officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and members of the delegation of our country.

Here the Hero-Arkadag had a conversation with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehrdad Barzpash. During the conversation, Hero-Arkadag noted that consistently implementing the foreign policy course based on the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, much attention is paid to the development of effective cooperation with neighboring countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The interlocutors noted that cooperation, which is successfully developing in various fields, is based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.

As already mentioned, the relations established between the two countries in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres are of particular importance in strengthening the economy, as well as in developing cooperation based on mutual understanding.

Also during the conversation, it was noted that the necessary efforts would be made to further intensify the main areas of mutually beneficial relations, and confidence was expressed in the further successful development of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation based on the principle of mutual friendship and good neighbourly relations.
