Today, the Turkmen-Tajik business forum, the first meeting of the Business Council and a joint exhibition of export goods of the two countries were held in the city of Dushanbe of the Republic of Tajikistan. These events are designed to promote the further development of mutually beneficial relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
A Turkmen delegation arrived in Dushanbe, which included heads of various ministries and departments, representatives of science and business structures.
In accordance with the work plan, the events began in the building of the National Library of Tajikistan with an acquaintance with an exhibition of export Tajik goods, which demonstrated the successes achieved in recent years by the partner country. Then the acquaintance with the exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan took place.
Then, the Turkmen-Tajik business forum began its work in the large conference hall of the National Library. The agenda includes a wide range of issues related to the implementation of the trade, economic, export and investment potential of the two countries.
The speeches emphasized the importance attached by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the strengthening and expansion of traditional friendly, good neighborly relations between our peoples. The development of cooperation in the transport and agricultural sectors is also an important component of bilateral relations.
As part of the exchange of views, the parties discussed specific areas of partnership, taking into account the existing potential of the two countries. A large role in this is assigned to the joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Tajik commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
The participants of the business forum expressed confidence that the agreements reached today will contribute to the intensification of trade and economic relations. The need was also expressed for expanding cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries, holding joint exhibitions of commodity producers, economic forums and other events.
As a result of the business forum, more than 20 documents on cooperation between the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and a number of state enterprises and private structures of the Republic of Tajikistan were signed.
At the same time, the first meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council was held in the small conference hall of the National Library of the Republic of Tajikistan, which was attended by heads and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry and other relevant structures of the two countries.
The policy of broad international cooperation implemented by the heads of the two states allows representatives of the private sector to actively develop mutually beneficial relations with businessmen of foreign countries, international business structures, which contributes to the integration of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan into the world economic system and the transition to advanced methods of economic management. Currently, digital technologies are widely used for this purpose.
Today, Dushanbe also hosted an international «round table» on the topic «Development of scientific and technical cooperation between scientific institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan: problems and prospects». Employees of institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, higher educational institutions, relevant ministries and structures, as well as representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan took part in its work.
The speeches addressed such topical issues as innovative educational technologies, renewable energy sources, cooperation in the field of seismology and earthquake-resistant construction.
The participants of the current events expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for the conditions created for the work of such forums, which contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas.
