The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the successful referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The message emphasizes that, having become the most important political event in the history of the country, the referendum clearly demonstrated the unity and solidarity of the people of Uzbekistan, their commitment to reforms in the life of modern Uzbek society, further democratization of state and public life, full support for the policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the updated Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan incorporates generally recognized norms and principles of international law, reflects the best practices for its implementation and practical application.

In this context, I can say with firm confidence that Uzbekistan, being an active participant in international relations, will continue its activities in the world political arena with new energy, will become the initiator of new ideas aimed at solving topical issues that are on the global agenda today.
