Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova, who arrived in Turkmenistan at the head of the parliamentary delegation of her country.

During the meeting, issues of expanding the Turkmen-Azerbaijani partnership in various fields were discussed. The parties paid special attention to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

Also during the visit, the head of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan will meet with the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan G. Mammedova, will address the deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and hold talks with the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As a result of the talks, it is planned to sign a bilateral document.
