The telephone conversation between Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan

Today, the telephone conversation has taken place between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The head of the friendly country sincerely congratulated the head of Turkmenistan with his birthday, wishing him sound health, long life and success in his multifaceted activity at the high state post aimed at dynamic socio-economic development of the fatherland and ensuring of prosperous life of its people.

Having expressed his sincere acknowledgement for kind words and wishes, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that with great warmth he remembers the meeting held on the margins of the Samarkand SCO Summit, that brotherly Uzbekistan successfully organized at the high international level. Such meetings give an opportunity to discuss topical issues of interaction and to exchange opinions on its perspective areas.

As was pointed out, Turkmenistan highly appreciates development of relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan and attaches a great significance for multilateral links with its close neighbour and reliable partner. It was stated that in recent years cooperation between the two countries has been brought to a qualitatively new level. 

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that the interstate dialogue between our countries differs with its constructiveness and openness and a trustful character of talks facilitates to join efforts for solution of topical tasks.

It was marked that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan successfully cooperate both within bilateral and multilateral formats, first of all, within the framework of the UN and CIS. 

Having touched upon the topic of trade and economic partnership, leaders of the two countries with satisfaction stated a progressive dynamics of its development in a wide range of areas –agriculture, power energy, oil and gas complex, chemical industry and others. In addition to it, the importance of intensification of business contacts between business circles in recent years was pointed out. 

During the conversation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also underlined a great personal contribution of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in development of good neighbourhood relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Having thanked once again for his warm congratulations and kind wishes on the occasion of his birthday, the head of Turkmenistan wished the Uzbek leader sound health and further success at his responsible state post and the friendly Uzbek people – peace, wellbeing and prosperity.
