Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, honoured elder of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Farid Mukhametshin discussed topical issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation during their telephone conversation today.

Having availed of the opportunity, Hero Arkadag congratulated his colleague with his 75^th birthday and wished him long life, sound health, family wellbeing and success in his work.

Interlocutors underlined with satisfaction that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan, which enjoy firm relations of friendship and brotherhood, successfully develop mutually beneficial cooperation in a wide range of areas and it testifies to the mutual commitment of the sides to the strengthening of traditional time-tested partnership.

Having confirmed the interest of the Turkmen side in steady expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation to visit Turkmenistan at any convenient time and expressed confidence that the upcoming visit will give a new impulse for development of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations.
