Today, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh "Honorary Elder of the People" of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the “Archman” sanatorium in the Baherden etrap and got acquainted with the work related to improving the health of the people and the conditions created for this. Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with vacationers and medical workers of the “Archman” sanatorium, inquired about their health, the features of the conditions created here for recreation, as well as the work of the staff.

Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who for many years headed the country's healthcare sector, spoke in detail about the positive impact of “Archman” sanatorium mineral water on the human body using specific examples. Speaking about the natural features of the health resort and, in general, about the favorable ecological environment of this corner, Arkadag noted that together they have colossal healing properties that affect the well-being and mood of vacationers.

Taking into account the fact that the number of people who come to “Archman” to improve their health and wish to undergo a course of treatment is constantly growing, Hero-Arkadag was asked to convey to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov the wish of the people on the construction of another building of the sanatorium.

During a conversation with patients, Arkadag promised that he would fulfill the request and spoke about the history of the “Archman” sanatorium, the stages of its development.

It should be noted that during the period of Arkadag's activity as the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of the country, a decision was made to build manufacturing and industrial enterprises in “Archman”. Then Arkadag did not support this decision, saying that the industrial complexes would have a negative impact on the mineral source of the sanatorium.

But despite this, construction work began here in 1998-1999. As a result, the source of healing water of the sanatorium dried up.

Being the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan in those years, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a letter to the country's leadership, in which he scientifically substantiated that the construction work carried out here caused the source to disappear. As a result, the construction of industrial facilities was stopped. Only after 2–3 years, water reappeared at the site of the source.

Thus, at the initiative of the Hero-Arkadag, large-scale work began on the reconstruction of the sanatorium in Archman. In 2009, a new building with 400 seats was built here. Drinking water was brought to the health resort, which, by the way, was located 7 kilometers from this place, measures were taken to improve the territory. In addition, the Path of Health was laid here.

The combination of treatment of patients with the healing mineral water of the sanatorium with various sports contributes to the restoration and strengthening of people's health.

The vacationers expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the conditions created to restore and improve the health of the population.

Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that taking care of the health of the people of Turkmenistan, their happy life is a priority direction of the current policy implemented in the country, the fundamental principle of which is “The state is for the people!”. Having expressed the wise saying “The interests of the people are the interests of the state”, Hero-Arkadag noted that, taking into account the wishes of compatriots to expand the area of the sanatorium, the possibilities of “Archman” and its mineral waters will be carefully studied scientifically, and based on the results of the studies, a proposal will be developed on the construction of a building for 200 or 400 seats, which will be presented to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
