Today, leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has taken part in the Presidential elections and voted for one of the candidates for the highest state post.

Organization of the social and political event-elections of the President of Turkmenistan important in the life of the country at high level testifies to observation of international standards and prevalence of principles of democracy in Turkmen society. The mass cultural events that took place in the course of the elections, display a complex approach to organization of the historically significant events.

In the early morning, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers who has been registered as candidate for the post of the President of Turkmenistan, arrived by car in polling station № 48 of Kopetdag district of Ashgabat city located in specialized secondary school № 68 named after Annaniyaz Artyk together with members of his family.

As known, this white colour car was presented to father of the leader of the nation, Malikguly Berdimuhamedov as a token of gratitude for his long and faultless service for the structures of international affairs and a high example of patriotism. Today, it is kept in the Berdimuhamedov family as a valued and priceless relic.

A deep respect for family values and traditions, succession of generations on the basis of respect for elders, adoption of serious decisions united are age-old traditions of Turkmen people.

Members of the family of Deputy-Chairman Serdar Berdimuhamedov were the first to cast their votes realizing their constitutional rights.

Then, the nominee for the highest state post talked to national and international observers, who carried out monitoring over the course of elections as well as to heads and representatives of mass media answering their questions.

ITAR-TASS correspondent Turyanova Leila asked Serdar Berdimuhamedov his plans in foreign policy of Turkmenistan in case of his victory at the elections.

The nominee for the highest state post Serdar Berdimuhamedov answered that the foreign policy of Turkmenistan is based on the status of permanent neutrality recognized twice by the United Nations, which enables it to develop the full-fledged relations with all countries both in the region and beyond its limits.

Turkmenistan pursues peace-loving foreign policy and therefore expansion and strengthening of friendly and good neighbourhood relations between countries are one of its main areas. Among main vectors are also development and strengthening of cooperation with large authoritative international organizations, first of all, with the United Nations, Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined.

At the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, which took place on February 11 of the current year, the National program for socio-economic development of the country for the upcoming 30 years was adopted. Within the framework of its realization, our country will develop its foreign policy in five main areas. It is the ensuring of security and stability, promotion of neutral status of the country at the international arena, diversification of foreign economic relations, and facilitation of stable development and humanization of international relations. «In case, if the people give me high confidence and elect me President of Turkmenistan, the country will continue its foreign policy based on positive neutrality», – the nominee for the highest state post summed up.

Further, correspondent of the Turkish TV channel «TRT World» Rumeys Chodar addressed the nominee for the post of the President of the country. Noting that a great significance is attached to the long-term development of economy in Turkmenistan, journalist asked him to highlight issues of development of industrial enterprises with a view of manufacture of import-replacing goods.

Answering the question, Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that Turkmenistan pays special attention to development of five sectors of national economy aimed at successful fulfilment of state programs and support of private sector. In this connection, he marked significance of establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in 2008 members of which successfully work in different branches of national economy of the country, including in spheres of trade, agriculture, construction, transport and industry. Our processing sectors and industry produce high quality goods facilitating the growth of national economy, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said expressing his intention to further support the national private sector.

Chief-editor of the newspaper «Türkmenistan» K.Rejepov wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov great successes in the elections of the President of Turkmenistan and got interested in what measures will be taken for development and modernization of digital system in the country, in case of his election to the highest state post.

Pointing out that in Turkmenistan under the leadership of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a program work is carried out to develop the digital system as well as «Conception of development of digital economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025» and «State program for development of digital economy in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025» were adopted, the candidate for the President of the country made an emphasis on the fact that introduction of digital system widely will enable significantly enhance the wellbeing and level of living standards of our people.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined, at the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, the National program for socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052 was adopted and it attaches great attention to development of the digital system in our country.

Further, chief-editor of the newspaper «Nesil» A.Khojaberdiyev wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov success in the elections and got interested in his plans for mass involvement of the youth in research activities in case of his election to the highest state post.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, in our country the younger generation is surrounded with the great care. The main essence of the state policy in this area is to augment the feeling of pride for our fatherland, people and history and strive for knowledge and mastering sciences by representatives of the youth. Along with it, it envisages adoption of measures aimed at learning new technologies by the youth, modern education as well as patriotic education of the younger Turkmen nationals, cultivation of the feeling of responsibility for the fate of our fatherland in them.

Further developing upon the topic, Serdar Berdimuhamedov reminded that with a view of successful realization of the youth policy the relevant state program for 2021-2025 was adopted. Besides it, the National socio-economic development program of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052 approved in the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh attaches a special significance for its further development. Having assured that in case of his election to the highest state post, he will continue the undertakings initiated by the President of the country, nominee for the highest state post Serdar Berdimuhamedov bid farewell to the gathered wishing them successes in their work.

Further, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov together with his mother Ogulabat eje arrived in polling station № 48 of Kopetdag district to vote for the worthy nominee for the post of the head of Turkmenistan.

Songs and musical compositions performed and national sweets treated to electors and the holding of retail sales at polling stations of the country, provided with necessary equipment and facilities for voting displayed a responsible and complex approach to the holding of the current significant socio-political campaign in the life of our country.

All conditions were created at polling stations for Turkmen nationals to realize their constitutional rights in accordance with generally accepted standards of intentional law. National and international observers also monitored the course of voting. Representatives of mass media widely covered all stages of elections held in the country.

Having voted for the most worthy nominee, the head of the state and his mother Ogulabat eje, by that fulfilled their constitutional rights. The leader of the nation displays an example of great care of family values, elder generation, especially for mothers who are surrounded with especially love and deep respect.

It should be noted that the current socio-political event, elections of the President of Turkmenistan were held at high organizational level, in accordance with requirements of modernity and in the national spirit typical of Turkmen people.

Only the elected President, who has won the trust of people will take the country ahead and will make everything that depend on him for further development of independent neutral Turkmenistan, the leader of the nation stated.

Having underlined with satisfaction that today’s socio-political event is held in accordance with generally accepted standards of international law and the Constitution of our country, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished all successes in their noble work.

Having talked to People’s Actor of Turkmenistan bagshy Lale Begnazarova and having noted her high performance skill and popularity among fans, the leader of the nation wished the singer further successes.

In her turn, the actor on behalf of all representatives of creative workers, expressed the Turkmen leader her best wishes and gratitude for his care of national art and support and help. She performed the song devoted to the mother accompanied by the dutar. It sounded as high hymn for the dearest mothers for whom the wellbeing of the country and happiness of children are the first and foremost thing.
