Today, a scientific and practical conference was held in the capital on the publication of politically important new books such as “Interview of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the international media”, “Consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia” and “15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization. These brightly highlight the constructive foreign policy course of independent neutral Turkmenistan, confidently following the chosen creative path of development under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The forum was attended by representatives of science and education, public organizations, the media, rectors and lecturers of higher educational institutions, and students. The heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan were also invited to the conference.

The events covered in the books vividly characterize the progressive innovative policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, thanks to which Turkmenistan is known throughout the world as a dynamically developing state that implements a strategy of fruitful partnership in the political, economic and humanitarian areas.

During the forum, reports were delivered on such topics as cultural diplomacy - a guarantee of common peace, the peaceful and good-neighborly policy of neutral Turkmenistan, its significant contribution to regional and international cooperation, as well as to integration processes in Central Asia, etc. Particular attention was paid to the educational value of the works and historical speeches by the leader of the nation for youth.

As was noted, the importance of maintaining peace and security in the region and on the international arena, and in this context, joint actions within the United Nations and other reputable organizations were emphasized in the interviews of the head of state to foreign media. The interviews also covered the key aspects of the Homeland’s traditionally friendly relations with different countries, the prospects for cooperation in various formats, the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan, where special attention is paid to preserving the primordial values of the nation and their interconnection with the present time, and gave a deep analysis of the country’s achievements over 30 years of independence.

A striking illustration in this respect was the third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held under the chairmanship of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast in August 2021, and the Dialogue of Women of Central Asian States held as part thereof. These meetings had resulted in important agreements reached in areas designed to be a link in strengthening constructive and fruitful relations between the countries of the region, built in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and respect for each other’s interests.

Another historic event of the past year is the 15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, which Turkmenistan hosted in the capacity of its ECO presidency. During this period, our country made every effort to step up joint work within this Organization, give it a qualitatively new impetus, and specify partnership priorities in the light of the existing potential and modern realities. For these purposes, a relevant Concept was prepared, which had been systematically implemented.

The forum participants expressed confidence that the new books published this year ongoing under the motto “People’s Epoch with Arkadag” will become a valuable heritage for current and future generations, revealing the glorious history of the Homeland at the present stage.

At the end of the conference, its participants adopted an Address of Appreciation to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed sincere gratitude for the ongoing progressive domestic and foreign policy and wished the leader of the nation new outstanding success in the wide-ranging large-scale activity.

As part of the forum, an exhibition of books and works of decorative-applied art was organized at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, where special place of honor were designated for the works by the head of state, the initiator of grandiose progressive reforms being carried out in all areas of the country’s life. Musical performances by bakhshi and young performers added bright color to the event.
