It was published the 9th volume selected works of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. The book “Towards new heights of progress” included program keynotes, speeches, articles, interviews, addresses, greetings and congratulations of the Head of the State ‒ total amount is 100 works for 2015. The volume begins with the preface “High spirit and creative potential of the new epoch”, which objectively analyzes, generalizes and assesses the practice of public-political and socio-economic development of the country in 2015. The works, placed in the volume in a strictly chronological order, contain the main requirements of the President of Turkmenistan to the executives and the challenges they face on improvement of the political system of society, democratization of all aspects of state-living. The progress of the country’s constitutional and legal reform has been also reflected in accordance with international principles and national traditions. In a wide range of questions considered in the 9th volume, much attention is paid to the country’s social sphere. Jealousy for a happy, worthy in all respects people’s life is the cornerstone of the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’s internal policy. The book reflected the growth of real incomes and population’s purchasing power both the annual increase of wages, pensions, public welfare payments and scholarships so the entrepreneurship development against preserving stable prices for consumer goods and services rendered to the citizens within prescribed limits. The social safety net is developing in the country, the population of which, despite the crisis developments ongoing in global economy, uses a great benefits package, in particular, the consumption of gas, electricity, water, communal and transport services, and these unprecedented conditions have no analogues in the world. The book illustrates the way how the powerful support of the head of state strengthens the material-technical and laboratory base of the country’s scientific institutions, increases the prestige of scientists’ professional work, expands opportunities for an active scientific work and scientific involvement of gifted young researchers, and develops international cooperation in this field. The book ends with a brief pictorial review of the most significant events of 2015, visually recreating the sublime spirit of a new time. The publication contains an ample reference information and scientific- analytical material, drawn upon different sources. The 9th volume of selected works of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, prepared for printing by the leading specialists of the Archive of the President of Turkmenistan, was published in separate versions in the Turkmen and Russian languages, making the book accessible to the widest circle of readers both in our country and abroad. An English version of the volume is preparing for publication.
