Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the President of the International Group of Companies "ARETI" Igor Makarov.
Expressing gratitude for the time allotted for the meeting, the businessman congratulated the head of state and the entire Turkmen people on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, wishing him good health, inexhaustible strength and great success in all endeavors. Thanking President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the support provided in strengthening business ties, as well as for the opportunity to take part in the implementation of large investment projects in various industries, Igor Makarov highly appreciated the progressive transformations carried out in the modern era in the national fuel and energy complex.
Welcoming the head of the leading company and expressing gratitude for the congratulations and good wishes, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that our country, invariably implementing the open door policy, stands for strengthening long-term and fruitful cooperation with interested business circles of the world. The ongoing large-scale programs focused on the industrialization and digitalization of the national economy, progressive scientific and technological progress, as well as large infrastructure projects of regional and international importance, provide ample opportunities for expanding long-term cooperation with a long-term and reliable partner ARETI MGK, the head of state said.
The main topic of discussion was the prospects for cooperation, taking into account the existing potential and plans for their implementation in the context of priorities of the country's socio-economic development, primarily in the fuel and energy complex, in the field of construction and in the transport sector.
As the head of ARETI emphasized, Turkmenistan, possessing colossal natural resources, today enjoys great prestige in the world as a producer of energy resources. In this regard, special attention was paid to such key aspects of our country's energy strategy as diversification of energy supplies to world markets, increasing the capacity of the mining and processing segment, and developing the gas and petrochemical industry.
During the meeting, the businessman reported on the ongoing work within the framework of the concluded contracts, including the promotion of projects, implementation of which was entrusted to ARETI. Having expressed the company's readiness to expand the spheres of interaction, Igor Makarov presented new proposals for the development of the Turkmen Caspian shelf for consideration by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The interest in this project, said the head of the MGK, is primarily due to the colossal potential of Turkmenistan and the favorable investment climate created here by the presence of an appropriate legal framework. All this makes it possible to effectively invest large funds in the development of oil and gas fields, in the construction of infrastructure facilities.
Noting the holding's constructive approach to strengthening mutually beneficial business ties, the head of state stressed that the main requirement for contractor companies is the use of the latest technological solutions and advanced scientific developments in the implementation of any project, as well as compliance with environmental safety standards. In this context, the leader of the nation gave the businessman a number of instructions related to the implementation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, the head of ARETI, confirming the readiness of the holding to continue to take an active part in the large-scale transformation programs successfully implemented in the country in various fields, assured President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that the company will make every effort to successfully promote fruitful cooperation, approaching the fulfillment of the undertaken partnership obligations in the most responsible way.
